Sponsorship & Donation Information
|
Since our beginning in 1955, our founder, Ray A. Kroc, believed that McDonald's had "an obligation to give something back to the communities that give us so much." This philosophy continues today through our support of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). Grants from RMHC are awarded to non-profit organizations for programs directly benefiting the health and well being of children.
Because of our corporate relationship with RMHC globally, the global board of RMHC reviews applications and awards grants that are fully national or international in nature. Therefore, we are unable to honor individual requests for sponsorship or individual donation requests.
However, you may want to bring your individual sponsorship or donation request to the attention of your local McDonald's restaurant. Many of our restaurants are actively involved with their community and support programs that range from teaching children about personal safety to sponsoring drug prevention programs and local sports teams and donating to local community events and activities. It's important to know that approximately 85 percent of our restaurants are individually owned and operated by private business people. The decision to provide local sponsorship or donations is up to the individual franchise owner.
If you are a non-profit organization and would like more information about grants from RMHC, please visit the RMHC website at www.rmhc.org.
