| Located on the pacific side of South America, it is crossed by the imaginary line known as Equator. Ecuador has a total area of 256,549 sq. Km. It is limited on the west by the Pacific Ocean, in the north by Colombia, and on the east and south by Perú. |

Geographically, Ecuador is a beautiful country to visit because of the contrast provided by its regions, which are clearly different. The Climate is mostly mild and dry in the mountains and sierra valleys, and hot and humid on the coast and the Amazon rain forest The Coastal region has pristine beaches and year round bathing waters; the Sierra region (Highlands) has snow-top volcanoes and fertile valleys; the Amazon rain forest has its own animal diversity and unique vegetation; and finally but surely not least the world famous Galápagos Islands where Charles Darwin was inspired to write his well-known masterpiece about "The Evolution of the Species". |

The Capital of Ecuador is Quito (est. pop. 1'800.000), located just south of the equator line at 2.800 meters above sea level. Known by its very well preserved Spanish Quarter, visitors can enjoy its unique Colonial style and ancient monasteries that were built in the 15th century. For all these, the UNESCO declared Quito in 1981 as one of the few Cultural Reserves of Mankind.
As in any other part of the world, we have continued our founder's legacy by consistently applying the highest standards of Quality, Service, Cleanliness and Value; pillars that have enable us to quickly become the favorite restaurant of the Ecuadorian family.

Our people are definitely our most important asset and we employ over 400 people. Since it's opening, McDonald's Ecuador has been incorporating University students as the backbone of our labor force, giving them the opportunities and the training to make a successful long-term career.

McDonald's Ecuador serves daily more than 10,000 customers.
Our development plan for the next three years contemplates the opening of at least six new restaurants in Quito and Guayaquil.
In accordance with our philosophy we have developed strategic alliances with our local suppliers, which have met our worldwide quality requirements. |

| Community Involvement |

| Since 1998, we became involved with the RMHC in its global commitment, by supporting two nonprofit organizations missions: Operation Smile and Interplast. These organizations do re-constructive surgeries for children in countries around the world. Almost 210 children in Ecuador, from different regions, benefited from the different missions these organizations have held over the years. In Ecuador, McDonald's is proud to be part of this humanitarian effort. |
