Janice L. Fields, Executive Vice President & Chief Operations Officer - McDonald’s USA
Jan Fields is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, McDonald's USA, LLC. In this role, Ms. Fields oversees restaurant operations for 13,700 U.S. restaurants.

Prior to her current role, she served as president of McDonald’s Central Division, where she was responsible for more than 4,400 McDonald’s restaurants, covering seven geographic regions and 24 states across the central United States.
In more than 28 years with the company, her career has spanned a variety of disciplines. Ms. Fields served as senior vice president in the Central Division and senior vice president in the former Southeast Division. In 1994, she was appointed regional vice president of the Pittsburgh region.

Ms. Fields has been honored with many awards throughout her McDonald’s career from 2002 Women’s Leadership Award and the McDonald’s Women Operators Network Recognition Award in 2001.

In 1988, she received the McDonald’s President’s Award which distinguishes the best of the best, recognizing the top one percent of McDonald’s employees who achieve considerable results in strategic initiatives. In addition, she was a recipient of the McDonald’s Golden Arch Partners Award.

A longtime advocate for people development, she is actively involved in the company’s mentoring and diversity programs, acting as Executive Sponsor for the Career Development program and speaking at many of the Diversity Network meetings.

Outside of McDonald's, she currently serves on the boards of the Chicago Urban League and United Cerebral Palsy, as well as the advisory board of Catalyst, a leading women's organization.

Ms. Fields was also named to Fortune’s 50 Most Powerful Women in Business 2007 list.

Ms. Fields started her career with McDonald’s in 1978 as a crewmember. She and her husband Doug have two children and two grandchildren.
