In 1983, McDonald’s invested $40 million in Hamburger University, a 130,000-square foot facility on an 80-acre campus located at McDonald’s Corporate Offices in Oak Brook, IL. This industry-leading facility includes:
- 13 teaching rooms
- 300-seat auditorium
- 12 interactive education team rooms
- 3 kitchen labs
- State-of-the-art service training labs
Today in the U.S., there are 22 regional training teams and additional HAMBURGER UNIVERSITY campuses in Sydney, Munich, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Brazil. All apply Hamburger University’s Global Learning Approach, which allows training materials and tools to be integrated into different languages and cultures.
