The Best Employer awards recognize Russian organizations that have achieved significant success in such areas as workforce preservation and expansion, job creation, employment of young people, and ensuring and protecting employees' rights.

McDonald's Russia has been named "Best Employer in Russia" for 2006 in recognition of its social responsibility, particularly in the area of employment. The Best Employer awards recognize Russian organizations that have achieved significant success in such areas as workforce preservation and expansion, job creation, employment of young people, and ensuring and protecting employees' rights. They are based on an expert counsel's analysis of social research and financial statements and are jointly sponsored by the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Coordination Council of the Russian Employers' Associations, the International Business Support Foundation, and Rating Analytical Agency. "The title of 'The Best Employer in Russia' is evidence of social responsibility of Russian companies," said Klaas Feldheiss, Chairman of the Award Steering Committee. "Such awards recommend … them as representatives of civilized innovative business both in Russia and abroad."
