McDonald's restaurants in Egypt are owned and operated by Manfoods, an Egyptian joint stock company, which is the sole agent of McDonald's in Egypt. The company Chairman and Managing Director is Mr. Yasseen Mansour.
The first two McDonald's restaurant opened in Cairo on 20th October 1994 and the company has expanded rapidly, with over 50 restaurants and points of sale across the country. |

McDonald's strongly believes in giving back to the community. This is a cornerstone principle of the company and McDonald's has been giving back to the community wherever it is located in Egypt. |

|
McDonald's was the first company in Egypt to partner with the Association of the Friends of the National Cancer Institute (AFNCI) at the beginning of 2001 to help build the first cancer hospital dedicated to children in Egypt and the Middle East. McDonald's is very proud of this relationship and has been able to contribute 2,000,000 LE in donation to this good cause over the past two years.
McDonald's is also active in other charities including Caritas Egypt, SETI, Love and Care, the Egyptian Red Crescent, Awladi Association and Dar Al Hanan. |

| McDonald's Egypt is proud to have more than 3,000 employees ranging from Managers to Crew Members. All employees receive training which includes learning about restaurant management and operations, food safety and hygiene, customer care and hospitality. |

McDonald's restaurants in Egypt regularly invite children with special needs or orphans to enjoy spending time with Ronald McDonald and are offered complimentary meals and giveaways, giving these children the opportunity for a fun-filled outing.
McDonald's restaurants in Egypt also help with school events and activities which serve the communities where they live, for example, neighborhood cleaning or sport competitions which raise funds for charitable causes.
McDonald's employees take part in several fun-filled activities as members of the McFamily. |
