| This program of visiting schools and hospitals, brings Ronald McDonald closer to the children during the school year. More than 140 annual visits are done. The context of the shows is educational and interactive. Children sing, play and have fun with the magic of Ronald McDonald. |

Since 1992, McDonald's Uruguay celebrates on the first Friday of October, the McHappy Day in honor to our founder, Ray Kroc. The famous Big Mac™ represents the Uruguayan solidarity since the total amount collected from the sale of Big Macs™ sandwiches during this day is donated to the Fundación Peluffo Giguens, that fights children cancer. Artists, sportsman, politicians, people related to the media, and other famous personalities, work that day in the stores, making it an additional attraction to visit our stores this day. In 1992 we were able to obtain US$2,027 with the sale of 798 Big Mac, while in 1999 we collected a record US$131,123 with 68,412 Big Mac sold.
