Corporate responsibility is a priority at McDonald's. It is a deep-seated tradition dating back to our founder, Ray Kroc, and a key element in our business strategy today. We know that our continuing success depends on our customers’ trust—in the quality and safety of our food, in our business practices, and in our commitment to making a difference on issues they care about.
For us, corporate responsibility is a collaborative effort of what we call the “three-legged stool”—McDonald’s employees, owner/operators, and suppliers working together to do what is right, to be a good neighbor, and to integrate social and environmental priorities into our operations. |

In local neighborhoods across the country, McDonald’s owner/operators and company-operated restaurants sponsor community programs, provide career opportunities, and contribute to local economic growth.
Here and around the world, we are supporting our customers’ balanced, active lifestyle goals, fostering development and inclusion in our workforce, and seeking to conserve natural resources and reduce waste. We are giving back to our communities through support for Ronald McDonald House Charities, local RMHC Chapters, and other children’s programs. McDonald’s is also actively engaged in promoting socially responsible practices in our suppliers’ operations.
