Virtual Work Experience

Work Experience is a great way to build your skills and your CV and find out what you could enjoy doing in the world of work.

Working in partnership with Youth Employment UK, we have created a virtual Work Experience programme which showcases the skills and behaviours that employers most often look for.

There are two modules which are available to complete.

1.       Youth Employment UK module - this introduces students to the different sectors and industries.

2.       McDonald’s-specific module – this introduces students to the key employability skills McDonald’s are looking for

The modules should each take approximately one hour to complete and consist of a workbook with activities, supported by a number of short videos.

Students can complete the workbooks digitally or they can be printed.

McDonald’s Virtual Work Experience

In this programme you will learn how McDonald’s can help you develop valuable skills to help you now and in the future, no matter what industry you want to work in.

There is a workbook to complete with videos that can be watched first before moving to the next section. Inside the workbook you will find questions, quizzes and activities to help you digest and think about what you have learnt from each video. The workbook is yours to keep.  Remember to download it to your device and make sure to save your answers as you go.

McDonald’s In-Restaurant Work Experience

We hope you’ve enjoyed the McDonald’s virtual work experience and that you may now consider the restaurant work experience which builds on the skills you will have learnt through the module.

Our Student Work Experience programme is aimed at full-time students looking for  the ideas and skills that will support their future careers. It’s also a great opportunity to meet new people!

Joining the team in your local McDonald’s restaurant for either five or ten days, you’ll gain valuable work experience and learn new skills that will last you a lifetime.
