McDonald’s looking to open up new doors for ambitious Kuwaiti talent

When you’re 15 or 16 years old, the world is your proverbial oyster. Full of boundless energy, a natural curiosity about life, and a hunger for new experiences - you are just starting to look towards your future, carving your individual identity and starting to plan your career path. This past January, McDonald’s Kuwait launched a new recruitment program designed to attract ambitious Kuwaiti youth, ages 15 and above. The program is aimed at providing aspiring young talents with a unique work experience that offers them a number of great benefits, giving them the oppurtunity of earning their own money whilst also gaining some invaluable professional experience – all whilst they continue to pursue their education.

The uniquely designed program is set up to allow young applicants the chance to get the maximum value and exposure, whilst proving utmost flexibilty to fit in seamlessly with their lifestyles and time demands. The program allows employees to choose their preferred work schedule, whether part-time or full-time, working days and hours, as well as a location close to home or school or university. Employees can also choose a job role that is of interest to them, including: restaurant crew, trainee manager, guest experience leader, or barista.

Additionally, through this program, McDonald’s Kuwait seeks to provide youth with a number of benefits, including developing valuable skillsets in team work, decision making, time management and leadership. The program will also provide youth with the unique experience of working in a multinational and diverse professional environment, allowing them to gain invaluable expertise along the way.

According to president of Al Maousherji Catering Company, Saqer Al Maousherji, this program is just part of McDonald’s Kuwait’s ongoing commitment to the Kuwaiti community and its efforts to be a socially, environmentally and culturally responsible brand.
