Under the “Share the Goodness” Initiative – McDonald’s Launches Blood Donation Campaign in Support of the Health Sector and Community

14.06.2025

With World Blood Donor Day approaching on June 14, 2025, McDonald’s in the Western, Southern, and Tabuk regions launched a blood donation campaign in collaboration with the Ministry of Health – Blood Banks and Laboratories, across two McDonald’s branches in Jeddah and the Head Office.

The campaign aimed to promote a culture of blood donation among both employees and customers. It witnessed strong participation, with over 30 customers and 40 employees donating blood — reflecting a true spirit of initiative and community belonging.

The campaign’s objective was to support the healthcare sector and contribute to saving lives by providing safe blood units under the direct supervision of certified medical teams and in full compliance with the highest safety standards.

This initiative reflects McDonald’s belief in the vital role the private sector plays in supporting the community and embodies the values of giving and national solidarity during a time of high need.

Mohamed Alireza, General Manager of Reza Food Services Co. Ltd., the official McDonald’s licensee in the Western and Southern Regions and Tabuk, commented:

“We take pride in this initiative as a true reflection of our ongoing commitment to the community, and the spirit of giving that defines us at McDonald’s.”
