4 Saudi Baristas receive an International Certificate in the Art of Preparing Coffee

The first international certificate was granted to 4 Saudi baristas working in McCafe Saudi Arabia, the exclusive agent for McDonald's in the central, eastern and northern regions of the Kingdom.

Café World is the accredited entity in Saudi Arabia to give certificates and hold training courses in the art of coffee preparation under the major umbrella of the Specialized Coffee Association (SCA).

They have trainers and a training center accredited by the association that holds courses for Saudi baristas working in the Saudi McCafe and give them international certificates in the arts of coffee preparation.

Through these courses, a Saudi barista learns the basic theoretical and practical skills needed to become an internationally certified barista.

The courses cover many matters relating to the history of coffee, the machines used, all related coffee products, green coffee, roasting skills, and sensory skills.

In addition to exploring health and safety issues, customer service protocols, and essential business practices.

The company aims to graduate 50 internationally accredited baristas by the end of 2022 and to employ the acquired skills to reflect on the experience of our customers in McCafe Saudi Arabia, which has more than 89 branches in Riyadh, eastern and northern regions of the Kingdom.
