We are proud that McDonald’s Saudi Arabia is a 100% locally owned company, held by Riyadh International Catering Company, which holds the franchise rights for the Central, Eastern, and Northern regions of the Kingdom, along with Ali Reza Food Services Company, the franchise owner for the Western and Southern regions. Both companies were granted the franchise rights in 1992, and the first McDonald’s restaurant in Saudi Arabia opened in Riyadh on December 8, 1993, marking the brand’s very first restaurant in the Gulf region.
