McDonald's Impact
McDonald’s: “We are part of this nation and we will never step back from our responsibility toward its people.”
This has been our message from the very beginning. Our responsibility toward our community has never been optional. It has always been a continuous and unwavering commitment. We are part of a proud nation that has provided safety, stability, and countless opportunities for success. In return, we have taken it upon ourselves to contribute, even in a small way, to the community to which we belong and within which our business continues to grow.
McDonald’s Saudi Arabia has long played a leading role in social work. We have built trust, fostered strategic partnerships, and engaged all segments of society through support for charities and innovative social programs that uphold the highest standards of sustainability and social development. We remain committed to being at the forefront in meeting the needs of our community and supporting our nation’s generous efforts in serving society, guided by our ethics, values, and humanity to contribute to our country’s prosperity.
At McDonald’s, we have pursued this mission with energy and determination, aiming for success while always maintaining a distinctly Saudi identity and character. Our efforts have followed multiple paths. On one hand, we have worked tirelessly to attract Saudi youth of both genders, providing them with the best work environments that foster adaptation, harmony, and the ambition they seek for professional, intellectual, and career growth. On the other hand, we have ensured that our restaurants prioritize local content, supporting national products and meeting the tastes of our customers in the Kingdom. From the beginning, our goal has been and continues to be to be an active contributor to our national economy.
Anyone following McDonald’s Saudi Arabia’s journey will notice how we have upheld this goal year after year, on many fronts. We focus on employing, empowering, training, and preparing our citizens for the Saudi labor market. McDonald’s has always prioritized the interests of its employees and never stood in the way of their search for suitable roles or their ambition for career advancement. We have also taken responsibility for employing youth with special needs, including those with Down syndrome, after providing them with proper training and creating a supportive work environment.
To further demonstrate our belonging and loyalty to this generous nation and strengthen our contribution to the ongoing economic development, we collaborate closely with local suppliers and national products. This not only gives our customers full confidence in the quality and taste of our meals but also supports local producers and suppliers with whom we have worked closely to ensure the highest quality in the food products used in our restaurants, achieving standards that in some cases have even surpassed the quality benchmarks of McDonald’s restaurants worldwide.
At McDonald’s Saudi Arabia, we are part of this nation. We accompany its journey, and we align with the ambitions of its leadership to reach the highest levels of progress and success. This is the promise we have made before God, and we will continue to uphold it under this wise leadership, moving forward in everything that benefits our beloved country.
Today, McDonald's Saudi Arabia operates more than 461 restaurants across over 60 cities throughout the Kingdom, including 275 restaurants in 37 cities owned and operated by Riyadh International Catering Corporation (RICC).
As a proudly Saudi company, McDonald's Saudi Arabia is guided by a clear vision centered on serving and developing communities not only by providing quality food, but also by investing in people, empowering national talent, supporting individuals with disabilities, and strengthening partnerships with local suppliers to contribute to economic growth and long-term sustainability.
Over the years, we have remained committed to growing alongside the communities we serve while consistently delivering products that meet the highest standards of quality and food safety. We believe the role of the private sector extends beyond operational growth to creating lasting economic and social value. Through supporting local content, empowering Saudi talent, and investing in meaningful community initiatives, we strive to contribute to the Kingdom’s development goals in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
