For McDonald’s UAE, community service is a cornerstone of our values. We share a collective responsibility to give back, and to strengthen our connections with our local communities.

Our focus on ‘feel-good moments’ resonates with our people, our customers and the wider community. Our people know they’re making a difference; our customers can rest assured we share their commitment to social responsibility; and our communities benefit from our efforts.

On a people level, our employees enthusiastically take part in our volunteering program. Indeed, our team members have racked up an impressive 1,000 volunteering hours since we launched the program; helping Emirates Red Crescent with their Ramadan ‘Breaking Fast’ initiative, hosting iftars for orphans at the Red Crescent Medical Center, and many other efforts.

On a corporate level, we’ve been working hand in hand with Emirates Red Crescent for seven years, raising more than AED4 million so far to support a range of humanitarian causes across the UAE. With a focus on the Red Crescent Medical Center – the only such center in the UAE offering free healthcare to more than 3,500 in need every month – we enable donations to be made via our self-order kiosks and Reward Points, as well as through dedicated fundraising campaigns such as Ramadan and McHappy Day.

Our initiatives extend beyond charitable initiatives and into youth development. The McDonald’s Junior Sport Academy offers a fun, healthy activity for young people aged 8-12, fostering community bonds through sport, fully covered by us.

We understand the power of sports for our community, which is why we are the official sponsors of the UAE FA men’s team, as well as sponsors of the UAE Pro League, and we also support the Emirati Ski Team, who travels every year on National Day to raise the UAE flag on the highest mountains in the world.

Whether it’s providing financial support, lending a helping hand, or doing what we can to promote active, balanced lifestyles, McDonald’s UAE is firmly committed to making a difference for the local community.
