07.04.2021

Following its social responsibility and continuous support of people with Down Syndrome, Riyadh International Catering Corporation sponsored World Down Syndrome Day celebrations, for the fifth year in a row, with over 1000 Down syndrome kids in 30 centers and associations in the Central, Eastern, and Northern regions of the Kingdom.

Supporting people with Down syndrome has always been one of McDonald’s main pillars, which is why despite the current pandemic situation, McDonald’s KSA made sure to still celebrate World Down Syndrome Day, which falls on March 21st of every year, while applying all precautionary measures to ensure everyone’s safety. Celebrations were held in multiple cities, starting with Riyadh where the kids were celebrated in Challenge and Creativity Center for Day Care and ABTAL ALMAARIFA Center in QASSIM, Down syndrome kids were celebrated in Khuninya Center and Onaizah Association, and in Nairyah celebrations were at Oboor Center. The festivities included live entertainment, gifts, and free meals where the kids enjoyed their time and took many photos which were posted on social media and received lots of positive feedback from the followers. Each center made sure to limit the number of kids attending each day to avoid any overcrowding and to ensure the kids’ safety. All centers and associations that participated have thanked McDonald’s deeply for always sponsoring such events and supporting the Down Syndrome heroes.
