New 10 Down Syndrome Hero’s Join the McDonald’s Family

Riyadh International Catering Corporation (RICC), the franchisor of McDonald’s restaurants in the central, eastern and northern regions of Saudi Arabia, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the management of SHARAKA Riyadh Charitable Association for the purpose of training and employment of 10 persons with Down syndrome.

Administration Director, Mr. Essam Bin Abdullah Al DHAKIL signed the agreement on behalf of RICC along with the CEO of SHARAKA Association, Mr. Bandar Bin Ali Al Harbi.

We formed a specialized, managerial team to supervise the training of the new members who have Down syndrome, as McDonald's has always been a strong supporter of these inspiring, cherished individuals. The team includes members from the Operation and Training, Human Resources and Public Relations departments.

It is worth noting that 52 Down syndrome Employees work with us at McDonald’s. We hope that by providing such training and employment opportunities, we can better integrate this precious and valuable group into society. Our employees with Down syndrome are present across more than 10 cities and are fully supported by their colleagues.
