McDonald's Saudi Arabia honors Olympic Karate Champion Tariq Hamdi and hands him a cheque for SAR 100,000
In support of national talents, McDonald's Saudi Arabia honored Olympic champion Tariq Hamdi, who won the silver medal in karate for the 75 KG category, at the 32nd Summer Olympics, which was held in the Japanese capital, Tokyo.
The honoring ceremony was held in one of McDonald's branches in Riyadh on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 where Tariq Hamdi was welcomed by Prince Majed Bin Fahd Al Saud; Vice President of Human Resources and Technology, Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; Executive Director of the company, and several of McDonald's Saudi employees, who celebrated the hero and took memorable photos with him before giving him the cheque celebrating his accomplishment. The ceremony was also attended by the President of the Saudi Karate Federation; Dr. Musharraf Al Shehri and administrator of the national team; Mr. Mohamed Al Daoudi, as well as the coach of the national team; Captain Mounir Afkir.
His Highness Prince Majed, Vice President of Human Resources and Technology, commented: "We encourage national talents, and McDonald's Saudi Arabia is proud of the nation's heroes and their remarkable achievements all of which contribute to raising the name of our beloved country locally and globally."
