McDonald’s Saudi Arabia has been awarded the “Mowaamah” Gold Certificate after meeting the highest standards required to provide a positive and inclusive work environment for people with disabilities.
The Mowaamah Program is a government initiative implemented by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It aims to empower people with disabilities by providing them with suitable employment opportunities, equipping them with the tools and facilities necessary for success in the labor market, and encouraging organizations across various sectors to create inclusive workplaces. The program’s evaluation criteria include commitment, awareness, employment, human resources, products and services, communication, facilities, and information technology.
In this regard, McDonald’s Saudi Arabia expressed its pride in receiving the Mowaamah Gold Certificate for 2025 from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. The company also takes pride in being the only brand in the QSR "Quick Service Restaurant" sector to achieve this distinction — a recognition of its role in social responsibility and in creating a supportive and inclusive workplace for people with disabilities.
