Macca’s will transform into Australia’s most unexpected music venue for one day only on McHappy Day, Saturday 14 November
28 October 2026: For one day only, one Macca’s restaurant will serve up burgers and beats for a BIG cause as it hosts Australia’s first-ever McHappy Day Festival – a free music festival raising funds for Ronald McDonald House Australia.
This McHappy Day, Saturday 14 November, Macca’s is trading trays for turntables at one secret restaurant, serving up exclusive DJ sets from Aussie dance music favourites Stace Cadet and Yolanda Be Cool. It’s a party with purpose, with every donation helping Ronald McDonald House Australia support families with children who are ill or injured stay close together when they need it most.
Before Stace Cadet and Yolanda Be Cool hit the decks from 2PM to 4PM, festival goers can enjoy family-friendly activities throughout the afternoon including face painting and temporary tattoos.
A free music festival. Two iconic DJs. One secret location. Could it be your local Macca’s? Stay tuned for the venue reveal...
🎧 Meet the headliners
Stace Cadet is best known for his ARIA Platinum-certified hit Energy, while Yolanda Be Cool's global smash hit, We No Speak Americano remains a dancefloor favourite more than 16 years on.
For Stace Cadet, McHappy Day's mission is deeply personal. Following his son Obi's cancer diagnosis and treatment, he’s experienced many of the challenges faced by families navigating serious childhood illness and knows firsthand how much support from organisations like Ronald McDonald House can mean during an incredibly difficult time.
Stace Cadet said: “As a parent who's experienced the challenges that come with a child's serious illness, you never forget the people and support that help you through the toughest moments.
That’s why McHappy Day Festival means a lot to me. It's incredible to see music being used to bring people together for such an important cause, helping Ronald McDonald House Australia continue supporting families when they need it most."
Yolanda Be Cool said: “We've played some pretty unusual venues over the years, but a Macca's festival is a first. We can't wait to get behind the decks, soak up the atmosphere and be part of a really fun and important day for the community. The fact it’s all in support of Ronald McDonald House Australia makes it even more special.”
❤️ Meet the families
Behind every beat is a bigger purpose, with every donation made through McHappy Day Festival helping Ronald McDonald House Australia provide comfort, care and support to families when they need it most.
In 2020, 10-year-old Luca from Canberra was diagnosed with Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL), a rare and aggressive form of leukaemia. Luca and his dad, Justin, spent more than 33 months at Ronald McDonald House Randwick while Luca underwent treatment.
🧢 Meet the merch
For the full festival fit, Aussies can get their hands on this year's limited-edition McHappy Day merchandise, including fan-favourite Silly Socks ($6.50) featuring Grimace and Hamburglar, and all-new Stonewash Cool Caps ($9.95).
🎉 Meet the McHappy crew
Behind every McHappy Day are thousands of Macca's crew and customers helping turn good times into good.
Annabel Fribence, Chief Marketing Officer for McDonald's Australia, said: “We’re known for serving Big Macs, but this McHappy Day, we’re serving up DJ sets too.
“McHappy Day Festival is a celebration of everything McHappy Day stands for: having fun, giving back and supporting Ronald McDonald House Australia. With Stace Cadet and Yolanda Be Cool headlining, we’re turning one of our restaurants into Australia’s most unexpected music venues and giving the community a whole new way to get behind the cause.
"Whether you're joining us for McHappy Day Festival, grabbing a Big Mac, picking up a pair of Silly Socks or making a donation, every contribution helps families stay together when it matters most.”
Organised by McDonald's Australia, McHappy Day has raised more than $83 million since 1991, helping Ronald McDonald House Australia support more than 89,000 families every year. Funds raised help Ronald McDonald House across Australia provide a range of Programs to meet families’ needs, including Ronald McDonald Houses, Family Accommodation, Family Rooms, Family Hubs, Family Retreats, Hospitality Carts and the Learning Program, providing families with comfort, care and connection throughout their healthcare journey.
