Families often have to travel far from home to receive the medical care their child needs. Ronald McDonald Houses provide essential care and support for families, only steps away from the hospital.

Family Rooms and Accommodation are located near to the hospital ward. Just moments away from their child’s bedside; families can make a cup of tea or a meal, play a game,  take a shower, or simply rest.

Family Retreats in idyllic locations give families with an ill or injured child, or those grieving the loss of a child, the opportunity to take a break, reconnect and spend some much needed time together.

With a Learning Program in each Australian State and Territory, Ronald McDonald House® Australia helps students catch-up on missed education, making the return to school less stressful. In addition, the EDMED program helps ensure teachers are well-equipped to support ill or injured children returning to school.

Hospitality Carts deliver practical supplies and comforting items to families at their child’s hospital bedside. Stocked with refreshments, personal items and simple distractions for children, and operated by our volunteers, our carts help families stay close and connected.
