McDonald’s Saudi Arabia Celebrates the Promotion of 24 Employees with Down Syndrome as Part of Its Career Empowerment Journey

McDonald’s Saudi Arabia celebrated the promotion of 24 employees with Down Syndrome during the first half of 2026, marking a new milestone that reflects the success of the company’s career empowerment and development programs, which it has championed for more than two decades. This achievement further reinforces the company’s commitment to providing an inclusive work environment that offers real opportunities for growth and career progression.

The promotions included the appointment of 21 employees to the role of Crew Trainer, following their outstanding performance and successful completion of career development requirements. In addition, 3 employees were promoted to the role of Second Assistant Manager, in recognition of their professional journey and ten years of dedication and contribution to the company.

This milestone comes as an extension of McDonald’s Saudi Arabia’s program for the employment and empowerment of people with Down Syndrome, launched more than 20 years ago. Today, it stands as one of the leading programs in the Kingdom in the field of workplace inclusion. To date, the company has employed more than 170 people with Down Syndrome across its restaurants in the Central, Eastern, and Northern regions, in addition to its head office, where they continue to perform their roles with dedication and achieve inspiring success stories.
