Plant a Lettuce Seed, with every Happy Meal

With every Happy Meal purchase, and for a limited time only, you will receive a sachet that contains the same seeds that grow to be the lettuce you enjoy in our meals. The lettuce seeds come from our trusted fruits and vegetables supplier, Del Monte Foods, and we invite you and your loved ones to plant them together while creating beautiful memories! This will come as a unique addition to our Happy Meal toys.

We take our role as a responsible corporate citizen seriously and through this small gesture of Little Seeds of Hope we would like to remind everyone about the importance of planting and taking care of our environment. We have partnered with Emirates Environmental Group, a professional working group devoted to protecting the environment through the means of education, action programs, and community involvement for many years, and with their help, we are proud that we were able to bring this initiative to life.

Through this planting journey, your whole family will be able to learn the important values of patience and care, as the seeds grow. 

Now let’s get to the planting instructions!

  • Prepare your planting pots and fill with moistened soil
  • Plant one lettuce seed per pot about 1 cm deep and lightly cover with soil
  • Pour water until saturated
  • Keep the pot beside a window with direct sunlight
  • Mist the lettuce seeds daily for the first 7 to 10 days
  • In 10 days, you should expect to see the plant grow to 2 to 3 cm
  • Continue to water the plant every day (about 100ml of water)
  • After 25 to 28 days, your plant should be around 15cm
