• McDonald’s UK and Ireland is proud to release its 2025 Christmas advert, titled McDonald’s Christmas Grinched.
• The 30” second advert debuts on Tuesday, 25^th November at 20:45pm during the live coverage of UEFA Champions League on TNT and at 21:30pm during I’m a Celebrity on ITV.
• The festive advert features the iconic Dr. Seuss’s The Grinch, bringing a mischievous twist to McDonald’s Christmas offering.
• The advert coincides with the arrival of the brand-new The Grinch Meal and a wider menu of limited-edition seasonal items.

November 2025: This Christmas, McDonald’s is set to surprise and delight audiences with the launch of its brand-new festive TV advert, “McDonald’s Christmas Grinched.” Airing on Tuesday, 25^th November at 20:45pm during the live coverage of UEFA Champions League on TNT and at 21:30pm during I’m a Celebrity on ITV. Packed with humour, holiday spirit, and a wonderfully wicked twist, the advert stars none other than the infamous Dr. Seuss’s The Grinch, returning with a plot to ‘sabotage’ Christmas meals everywhere… or so he thinks!

The advert opens deep inside The Grinch’s Lair on Mount Crumpit, where he peers through a telescope pointed down at Whoville. Below, families gather together in restaurant, happily tucking into their McDonald’s meals with wide smiles and festive joy - a sight that makes The Grinch recoil in disgust.

Determined to put an end to their festive cheer, The Grinch slips back into his lair to begin plotting and scheming, weaving between bubbling equipment in his lab coat, surrounded by scribbled plans and sprawling maps of Whoville. Settling at his cluttered desk, he hunches over his computer, cackling menacingly with glee as he begins devising the perfect way to ruin their Christmas meals. The Grinch’s eyes light up with wicked inspiration as he imagines a series of twisted tricks: “They will truly despise gherkin seasoning on Fries,” and “They’re all in for shocks when I knit them odd socks.” As he coats Fries in bright green gherkin seasoning and stitches odd socks, he dances triumphantly through his lair, convinced he’s finally cracked how to ruin Christmas, all setting the stage for the arrival of the brand-new The Grinch Meal at McDonald’s.

Landing in all UK & Ireland McDonald’s restaurants on Wednesday, 26^th November, The Grinch Meal brings both magic and mayhem to McDonald’s fans nationwide. Customers can choose from a Big Mac®, 9 Chicken McNuggets®, or McPlant®, accompanied with the NEW Grinched McShaker® Fries, featuring gherkin-flavoured seasoning inspired by the Grinch’s very own scheme. Plus, a drink of choice.

But the chaos doesn’t stop there. Each Grinch Meal includes a playful bonus - a pair of limited-edition Mis-Matched Grinch x McDonald’s Socks, a nod to one of the Grinch’s key pranks from his lair. Instead of causing confusion, the odd socks add to spark joy, giggles, and festive fun…much to The Grinch’s disappointment. Beyond the Grinch Meal - The Festive Menu…

McDonald’s is unveiling a full Grinch and festive menu of seasonal bites bursting with Christmas spirit and Grinch-approved mischief, including:

• Frozen Grinch Lemonade: A zesty frozen lemonade finished with a vivid Grinch-green melon swirl for a refreshingly cheeky twist.
• Coconut Latte: A smooth coffee moment with coconut-flavoured syrup, topped with cream and glistening twinkles.
• Coconut Hot Chocolate: Bringing the same coconut magic in a creamy hot chocolate finished with a festive shimmer.
• Mischief McFlurry®: Soft dairy ice cream swirled with festive Smarties®, Christmas trees, and a fruity strawberry sauce.
• Chocolate Brownie McFlurry®: Brownie cookie pieces and a drizzle of chocolate sauce for pure seasonal indulgence.
• Grumble Pie: Packed with apple, cranberry, and custard - festive, fruity, and full of joy, all wrapped in a crispy green pastry.
• Cheesy Chicken Stack: A 100% chicken breast fillet in a crispy coating, layered with mega cheese melt, a cheese slice, lettuce, and warming Chipotle Salsa.
