Selection process

1. Making an application

Once you’ve attended a Franchising Event, fill out the application form to register your interest. 

    

2. First Meeting

A chance to get to know each other better, and to discuss why you think you’d be a great fit for McDonald’s.

3. Restaurant Experience

Experience five days in a restaurant with an established team, where you can see how our restaurants operate and think about how you might run yours.

4. Second Meeting

Meet McDonald's Senior Manager/Director and Head of Franchising to explore your suitability further and discuss your restaurant experience.

5. Psychometric Assessment

If successful at the second meeting and ahead of the panel meeting, you’ll be asked to complete a psychometric assessment to evaluate your suitability as a McDonald’s Franchisee.

6. Panel Meeting

If your second meeting is successful, you’ll be invited for a final meeting with three senior Vice Presidents.

Becoming a Restaurant Owner

7. Training

Pass your panel meeting and you’re ready to start training.

8. Offer

At training stage, successful candidates will then receive an offer to purchase the rights to a restaurant.

9. Handover

After signing the franchise agreement, the keys and day-to-day running of the restaurant will be handed over to you.
