McDONALD’S UK & IRELAND DELIVERS THE ULTIMATE SIDE MISSION WITH A BRAND-NEW MENU INSPIRED BY THE WORLD OF MICROSOFT & XBOX GAMING

• Fans can expect food items inspired by the games, such as Black Pepper & Garlic McNuggets® from Halo™ and Fiery Buffalo Dip as a nod to World of Warcraft® 🎮
• The new menu launches from Tuesday, 25^th August in restaurants nationwide for a limited time only 🏃

McDonald’s UK & Ireland is levelling up with the ultimate limited edition gaming collaboration, connecting fans to six of Microsoft’s most recognisable gaming worlds through a new partnership across Halo™: Campaign Evolved, Fallout® 76, Forza Horizon™ 6, Overwatch®, World of Warcraft® and Candy Crush™.

Inspired by these legendary worlds of gaming, the menu brings elements from players' favourite franchises to life, giving fans the chance to taste items they’ve only ever encountered on screen and rewards you with brand new in-game content for those same titles.

Plus, customers can unlock exclusive in-game Rewards via the McDonald’s App. Fans should run, not walk to get their hands on these menu items!

Ever wanted to sample the famous moa dishes served across the Halo™ universe? Now you can get one step closer as McDonald’s launches Black Pepper & Garlic McNuggets®, inspired by the iconic moa bird that has appeared throughout Halo™, 6, 9 or 20 pieces of 100% chicken breast meat in a crispy coating, with a spicy kick of black pepper and Garlic, served with a sweet & sour dip. 

Looking for a new dip to try? Introducing the Fiery Buffalo Dip, perfect for those looking to heat up their Chicken Selects®! Fans can expect a creamy, tangy buffalo style dip with a fiery kick worthy of Ragnaros, the Lord of Fire himself, Azeroth from World of Warcraft®.

And it wouldn’t be a McDonald’s menu without a cheesy side. Inspired by the game Fallout® 76, get ready to try in-real-life Blamco Cheesy Potato Bites. Golden, crispy potato rings with a soft, fluffy centre, filled with melty cheese and served with ketchup for a sweet, tangy finish.

Get one step closer to the world of Forza Horizon™ 6 with the new Sour Cherry Fizz by McDonald’s UK and Ireland, a refreshing mix of Sprite® Zero with a sugar-free sour cherry flavoured syrup, served over ice. Inspired by the cherry blossom season featured throughout the world of Forza Horizon 6™, the new Sour Cherry Fizz combines Sprite® Zero with sugar-free sour cherry flavoured syrup, served over ice. This vibrant limited-edition McCafé® drink brings a taste of the game's Japanese setting to life.

Sweet! Tasty! Divine! Prepare to experience Candy Crush™ in-real-life with Candy Crush™ Choco McFlurry® - soft dairy ice cream, swirled with chocolate covered biscuit with an indulgent chocolate sauce. A colourful and playful dessert inspired by the game’s instantly recognisable sweets and icons.

And finally, in a tribute to Kiriko’s beloved snack in Overwatch®, the sweet treat Sugar Donut will appear in limited-time packaging across restaurants in the UK and Ireland.  A soft ring donut dusted in sugar; it’s a character favourite and a must-have.

But the experience doesn’t stop at the menu. Side Missions introduces a gamified journey, where fans can unlock rewards, discover hidden moments, and engage with content inspired by their favourite games, turning every visit into an interactive experience.

The mission does not end there. The experience extends into the digital world in the McDonald’s App, where customers will be able to use their Reward points to unlock exclusive in-game items across participating titles. 

This includes:
