Cliff Thomas joined the UK McDonald’s Senior Leadership Team as SVP Chief Financial Officer, in January 2026, he is responsible for financial strategy and guidance across the UK&I business.
Cliff previously spent 12 years serving in roles in the UK&I market, including Finance Director. In 2022, Cliff became Director of Business Insights, in the US working with the New Business Ventures team establishing the CosMc’s concept and restaurant pilot.
Most recently, he has been working as CFO for the IOMBU, eight of McDonald’s owned markets across Europe, a segment role where he drove performance and growth, helped market teams build long-term financial strategies in headwind-rich environments, and developed the network of finance talent across Europe.
Cliff’s favourite McDonald’s menu item is the Sausage and Egg McMuffin but hold the cheese.
