James was promoted to Senior Vice President, Chief People Officer in October 2023, and leads the People Team across the UK and Ireland.
With over 15 years at McDonald’s, James most recently served as Senior Director, HR Business Partner: International markets – Field & Corporate, where he has been instrumental in evolving our People Brand Standards for the Internationally Operated Markets segment, working cross functionally with markets, segment and global colleagues. Prior to his current role, James served as International Developmental Licensing Europe People Lead where he significantly influenced positive gains in engagement with the people functions partnership.
Since joining in 2007, James has held various roles across the People function, and throughout his time, he has proven himself a highly collaborative, business-oriented HR partner, who is committed to continuous improvement and learning for himself and those he works with. His desire for personal growth brought him recognition by the CIPD in 2022 as a Chartered Fellow.
James’ favourite McDonald’s menu item is the Sausage & Egg McMuffin.
