Gareth joined McDonald’s in May 2019 as SVP, Chief Marketing Officer and is responsible for Marketing, Food Development and Business Strategy and Insight.
Gareth is responsible for understanding what really matters to consumers and continuously building the brand’s reputation. This includes keeping the menu relevant and exciting, and always offering exceptional value, so that customer’s expectations are exceeded every day. Gareth is also part of the Global Marketing Leadership Team, where the IE is a lead market in many initiatives that role out globally.
Before joining the business, Gareth worked at Zoopla and MoneySuperMarket where he led on the ‘Epic Strut’, the IE’s most favourite campaign in 2015. Having been in marketing for over 30 years, Gareth honed his classic analogue and online digital expertise at various brands including Nestle, Mars and Innocent Drinks.
Gareth’s favourite menu item is the Big Mac (with Bacon).
