What is the MONOPOLY game promotion at McDonald’s? 

McDonald’s much-loved promotion was launched back in 2006 and works similarly to the classic MONOPOLY board game.

Customers have the chance to win prizes by collecting Game Pieces from menu items such as Fries, wraps, drinks and McFlurry®. Simply by peeling off the Game Pieces from selected menu items, customers can reveal an Instant Win Prize or alternatively a Property Code, which can be scanned and banked in the McDonald’s (UK) app.  

This year, McDonald’s is replacing the Digital Peel feature with the McDonald’s MONOPOLY Special Edition World, a digital joy-topia on the McDonald’s (UK) app.

After scanning the code on a physical Property game-piece, customers press the GO button in-app to see Grimace race around a 3D gameboard, just like the real-life game! The square the user lands on will lead to one of the following 30 outcomes:

• Property Square x26: users will be awarded a Property Card.
• Chance Card x2: users can win cash, merch, prizes, and our iconic Gold Card.
• Community Chest x1: users will win MyMcDonald’s Rewards Points.
• Passing Go x1: users will be awarded a £200 (!) cash prize.
