(Updated July 2, 2020): McDonald’s Canada continues to reopen its restaurants for take-out across Canada after successfully testing new safety measures to help protect the health and well-being of guests and employees. Now, where provincial regulations allow, guests will experience some additional changes when visiting their local McDonald’s as restaurants begin to re-open dining rooms. (Updated May 14, 2020): McDonald’s Canada today announced its plan for welcoming guests back into its restaurants, beginning with the reintroduction of take-out service. (Updated May 6, 2020): McDonald’s Canada today announced Fries For Good, a nationwide initiative to support COVID-19 relief efforts and other recent Canadian tragedies. From May 8-21, 2020, McDonald’s Canada will donate a portion of the proceeds from all fries sold in Canada to the Canadian Red Cross, supporting the Canadian Emergencies & COVID-19 Response Fund, the Nova Scotia Stronger Together Fund, and disaster response and preparedness work across Canada. (Updated March 25, 2020): We shared an update with trucker associations on a new process to better serve service transport trucks, fire crews and oversized essential service vehicles since closing our take-out service. Between 6:30 a.m. & 8 p.m., drivers operating transport trucks, fire crews and oversized essential service vehicles can now place a mobile order via the MyMcD’s app when they arrive to receive their order.
