McDonald’s Canada rolls up its sleeves to support vaccination campaigns across the country.
As part of McDonald’s Canada’s commitment to being good neighbours and contribute positively to the COVID-19 recovery effort, we will be supporting efforts to promote COVID-19 vaccinations across the country.
Starting July 5, McDonald’s Canada is supporting government vaccination campaigns in Ontario and nationally through the Ontario provincial and Federal government campaigns, as well as the This is Our Shot campaign.
“Throughout the COVID-19 crisis we have put the health and safety of our guests, people and the communities in which we operate first. We are proud to help provide access to information that encourages Canadians to roll up their sleeves and do our part to help Canada recover from the pandemic,” said Jacques Mignault, McDonald’s Canada, President and CEO.
McDonald’s restaurants across the country will distribute information to guests starting the week of July 5. Through in-restaurant and drive-thru orders, over 53 million informational leaflets will be distributed to guests across the country, encouraging them to protect themselves and their communities against COVID-19 by getting vaccinated.
“Ontario continues to make tremendous progress in our vaccine rollout, and every dose administered brings us closer to the things we’ve missed,” said Christine Elliott, Ontario’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Health. “This is a true Team Ontario effort, and we are thankful for the incredible efforts of all of our partners, like McDonald’s, who are stepping up to protect the health and wellbeing of Ontarians by helping us reach even more Ontarians and encouraging them to get vaccinated. All vaccines provide strong protection against COVID-19 and variants, and I encourage everyone to sign up now to receive their first and second dose.”
This Is Our Shot to be #TogetherAgain is a movement aimed to rally Canadians and encourage each other to replace vaccine hesitancy with confidence so that we can help end the pandemic – together. McDonald’s Canada will be contributing towards a digital media campaign that will reach 8.49 million across the country.
Since McDonald’s Canada opened its first location in Richmond, BC, in 1967, we have expanded to over 1,400 restaurants across the country with corporate offices in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. In Canadian communities from coast, to coast, to coast, we serve close to three million guests every day and together with our hard-working franchisees, employ approximately 100,000 people.
