Rod Halladay, Regional Vice President of Western Canada and McOpCo, is responsible for the business operations of more than 500 franchised and corporate restaurants. Rod has over three decades of McDonald’s experience and has earned a reputation as an inspiring leader who builds diverse teams, succeeds across restaurant operations, delivers great guest experiences and drives results. He has been a leading force behind the organization’s talent management and succession planning programs, resulting in a strong pipeline of future leaders.
After completing his BA and MBA at the University of British Columbia, Rod began his McDonald’s career as a Manager Trainee. Rod advanced through a variety of roles, supporting the success of both franchisee and corporate-owned restaurants. Before his current role, Rod was the Senior Director of Operations for McOpCo. He elevated the corporate-owned restaurants stretching from Vancouver to Montreal to one of the top-performing business units in McDonald’s global network.
Rod is passionate about giving back to the community and is a former Board Member of Ronald McDonald House BC. Most recently, he joined McDonald’s Black, Indigenous, People of Colour (BIPOC) Employee Business Network as an ally to gain insight into approaches for creating meaningful impact across the organization.
