As Chief Financial Officer for McDonald's Canada, Salvatore (Sal) Piccolo provides strategic financial leadership to the company and its franchisees, overseeing Finance, Insurance, and Supply Chain while shaping the company’s growth agenda and long-term business performance.
With nearly two decades of experience across McDonald's global, corporate, and U.S. market roles, Sal is known for pairing financial rigor with a deep understanding of the business, helping leaders make informed decisions that accelerate growth and create long-term value across the business.
Since joining McDonald's in 2007, Sal has held a variety of finance leadership roles spanning the McOpCo, national field finance, real estate & development, supply chain finance, and economic strategy & policy teams in the U.S. Prior to the U.S. market, Sal spent over a decade in McDonald’s Global Treasury with leadership roles across global franchisee finance and supplier financial risk management. His broad experience across the McDonald's System has given him deep expertise in market and franchisee finance, while enabling him to build strong partnerships, develop talent, and deliver meaningful business results.
Most recently, Sal led Financial Planning & Analysis for the Global Technology function, serving as a key strategic partner to the technology leadership team and helping advance the company's transformation ambitions. In this role, he helped strengthen financial transparency, drive disciplined decision-making, and advance investments that continue to shape the future of the brand.
Sal is also passionate about giving back to local communities and serves on the Board of Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada.
