Registration

How do I register?

On our McDonald’s Fun Football Website there will be a page dedicated to registering for our Fun Football Centres. You’ll be able to pick out your local centre, and then provide all necessary details for your child’s registration.

 How much does it cost?

Each session is completely free and funded by McDonald’s.

What is the deadline for registration?

The deadline to register is 08:59 on the Friday before the session takes place. If you miss this deadline, you’ll need to register for the following week’s session. Please see registration page for details of each session’s dates.

How old must children be?

Children must be between the ages of 5-11 at the time of the session.

Can both boys and girls attend?

Yes, of course! McDonald’s Fun Football is for all.

Does the automated email I received act as full booking confirmation?

No, your provisional confirmation email will only confirm you have successfully registered for the Centre. Prior to the session we will send out reminder emails to all those who have a place confirmed. This is to avoid centres being oversubscribed.

The Sessions

What time does the session start and finish?

This will depend on the session you’re attending. When registering for each centre you will be able to see the exact timings.

How long is the session?

Each session will last 1 hour, and you’ll be able to see the start and finish times upon registering.

What does my child need to bring?

Please bring suitable footwear, suitable football clothing (Weather dependant), and plenty of water.

Where should I go when I arrive at the venue?

On arrival at the venue, please keep an eye out for our McDonald’s Fun Football branding as this is where the centre will be taking place. The coaches will also be wearing McDonald’s Fun Football clothing.

What will my child be doing during the session?

Each Fun Football Centre will be an introductory session to Football for children aged 5-11 and predominantly aimed at those children who are not currently playing. Our coaches will deliver a series of activities focusing on basic footballing technique, however this will obviously be adapted depending on your child’s age and ability.

What if my child is no longer able to attend the session?

If your child is no longer able to attend, please make the effort to contact mcd.football@leoburnett.co.uk to let us know, if you are no longer able to attend on the day please feel free to inform the lead coach (these details will be in the reminder email)

Can other children turn up on the day if they haven’t registered?

Unfortunately, not. However, please do book for the following week’s session, or alternatively another centre.

What happens if there is bad weather?

If the centre is cancelled due to bad weather, our lead coach will contact you prior to the session. If for some reason they are unable to contact you, there will also be at least one coach at the venue to inform parents.

Who do I need to contact if I’m running late?

If you’re running late, please feel free to inform the lead coach.

Can I drop my child off and pick them up at the end of the session or do I have to be present throughout?

Yes, of course. As you’ve provided us with your emergency contact details and full information, all you need to do is sign your child in on drop off and then you are free to return at the end of the session.

What happens if my child sustains an injury?

All our coaches will have first aid qualifications, and if a child was to suffer anything more serious we would contact you immediately. That said, you have entered the session at your own risk when registering, and therefore understand there will be minor risk activity involved.

What is the ratio of coaches to children?

This will vary from centre to centre, but on average we are expecting a ratio of 1:9. This will vary depending on the number of registrations, however we will ensure each child has the best possible experience with our expert coaches.

What qualifications do the coaches hold?

All our professional coaches have minimum FA Level 1 Coaching Qualification, with proven experience of coaching young children. All have an in date Enhanced disclosure with child barring from DBS  and carry first aid, and up to date safeguarding children certificates.
