Investing in new research to help advance agricultural practices

As a long-time supporter of the Canadian beef industry, McDonald’s Canada announced today that together with Cargill, it is proudly investing in research headed by the Beef Cattle Research Council (BCRC) to help support the resiliency of the Canadian cattle and beef industry.

Through its support of the BCRC, McDonald’s Canada is helping to fund research initiatives that focus on improving soil health, cattle productivity, carbon sequestration and grazing management.

“At the root of McDonald's Canada’s purpose is our ambition to continue serving guests the burgers they know and love, while supporting Canadian farmers and ranchers,” said Hope Bentley, Head of Supply Chain Management at McDonald’s Canada. “Our investment in this research program is one of the ways we’re contributing to the future of farming by helping to equip tomorrow’s generation of cattle ranchers and farmers with new practices through these research initiatives.”

This partnership is one the many ways McDonald’s Canada is working to help advance agricultural practices in Canada and support its ongoing commitment to feeding and fostering communities – today, and for years to come.
