Do McDonald's burgers contain beef from lots of different cows?

May 21, 2018

We only use whole cuts of 100% beef in our burgers, from over 16,000 British and Irish farmers. Our patty supplier buys whole cuts of forequarter and flank from approved abattoirs across the U.K. and Ireland. Here the beef is prepared by skilled butchers before being minced and shaped to create our hamburger patties. In the blending process, we do mix beef from different delivery batches and the resulting batches can be made up of the meat from more than 100 cattle.
