Do you use recycled products in your packaging?

July 12, 2018

For McFlurry® lids, we’re moving away from non-recycled polystyrene plastic to a recyclable polyethylene lid which is made of 40% recycled content. This move will introduce more recycled content into our packaging as well as increase the number of recyclables in our restaurants. Redesigning our packaging can make a big impact. We are continually looking to reduce the amount of material we use in our packaging. We also look to include recycled material in our packaging when safe and practical – including our napkins and cup carriers which are made from 100% recycled materials. Every piece of our paper or card packaging is verified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or the Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).
