Where do McDonald's source its vegetables from, and are they organic?

May 14, 2025

We’re committed to using high-quality, responsibly sourced ingredients.

Our lettuce is mainly sourced from the UK during the spring and summer months, and from Spain in the autumn and winter. A small portion also comes from Holland and France to ensure consistent quality year-round. The majority of our fresh onions are grown right here in the UK, with the rest sourced from Spain and Holland.

Our tomatoes are grown in Spain and Holland. Spanish tomatoes are prepared by our trusted supplier in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, while Dutch tomatoes remain in the Netherlands before making their way to the UK.

Like our tomatoes, our cucumbers are sourced from Spain and Holland depending on seasonal availability, while the cucumbers used in our dill pickles are predominantly from Turkey.
