Why is the turnover so high for McDonald's employees, and why are working hours so low for full time staff?

We do not view our employee turnover as high. Compared to other businesses in the retail and hospitality sector we are very pleased with how long our employees choose to stay with McDonald's. The average length of service for a crew member is over two years and the average length of service for our Restaurant Managers is 15 years. Our hourly paid employees have the flexibility to request their own working patterns and their schedule is based on when they are available to work. Some employees choose to work4  hours per week, other may choose to work full-time hours.
