What is McDonald’s Side Mission In-Game Unlocks?
McDonald’s is partnering with Microsoft to give MyMcDonald’s Rewards members the opportunity to exchange their MyMcDonald’s Rewards points for exclusive Microsoft rewards.
What are the dates of the Side Mission In-Game Unlocks Promotion?
The promotion starts at 07:00 on 25th August 2026 and ends at 23:59 on 28th September 2026. You can claim this reward through the McDonald’s (UK) app during the promotional period, subject to availability.
When do I have to claim my In-Game Unlocks by?
Whilst you can claim your reward in the app until 23:59 on 28th September 2026 (whilst stocks lasts), this will give you a code and you then have until 23:59 on 31st December 2026 to redeem your in-game unlock on the relevant partner site or platform. You must redeem your code via the website URL in your confirmation email before it expires.

Who is eligible for the Side Mission In-Game Unlocks offer?
This reward is available to McDonald’s members with sufficient MyMcDonald’s Rewards points. Each reward is 1,500 MMR points.
To be eligible, you must:
1. Be 18 or older;
2. Be a UK, Isle of Man or Channel Islands resident;
3. Be a McDonald’s app user;
4. Have sufficient MyMcDonald’s Rewards points;
5. Have or create a valid account for the relevant game title;
6. Have internet access and a compatible device;
HOW DO I CLAIM OR REDEEM THE REWARD?
What do I need to claim this reward?
Download the McDonald’s (UK) app, register for a McDonald's (UK) app account and click the “Rewards & Offers” section of the app or the Side Mission In-Game Unlocks tile to access the promotion. MyMcDonald’s Rewards members are required to opt-in to the MyMcDonald's Rewards program.
Tip: You may need to check your iOS or Android smartphone software is up to date and compatible. Please note: McDonald’s cannot guarantee compatibility with tablets.
Can I claim all six In-Game Unlocks?
Yes, as long as there is still stock left. You can claim one code per game title, and with six Microsoft titles available in total, you can claim all six in one day if you have enough MyMcDonald’s Rewards points and the codes are still available.
Do I need to make a purchase to claim this reward?
No, anyone with the McDonald’s (UK) app can take part, provided they have signed up to MyMcDonald’s Rewards and have enough MyMcDonald’s Rewards points to redeem a code.
I used my points but didn’t receive my code. What should I do?
We advise you to check:
- Your confirmation screen in the McDonald’s app
- Your confirmation email (including spam/junk folders)

Do I need to redeem my code immediately after claiming it?
No. Once you’ve claimed your code in the McDonald’s app, you can redeem it on the relevant platform at any time before the code expires at 23:59 on 31st December 2026.

What rewards are available?
You can use 1,500 MyMcDonald’s Rewards points for one of the following Microsoft unique codes, subject to availability. The exclusive Microsoft in-game codes available are:
1. Halo: Campaign Evolved – Side Mission Armour Style – 1,000,000 available
2. Fallout 76 – Sugar Bomb Bundle – 200,000 available
3. Forza Horizon 6 – One Car Voucher – 200,000 available
4. Candy Crush Saga – Booster Bundle* – 500,000 available
5. Overwatch® – Kiriko Donut Break Emote – 200,000 available
6. World of Warcraft® – Red Hot Portable Bakery – 200,000 available
Rewards are subject to availability and may vary by game title. Once a code has been claimed, it cannot be exchanged for a different game reward.
*Please note that for Candy Crush Saga, some users may need to complete the first 10 tutorial levels before the reward will be accessible in-game.
How do I redeem my In-Game Unlocks?
Open the McDonald’s app.
1. Head to “Rewards & Offers”, click “View all” in the Rewards section.
2. Claim your chosen Microsoft reward using points by 23:59 on 28th September 2026. You will also receive an email confirmation after using your points.
3. Reveal and copy your unique digital code or access code.
4. Enter your code on the relevant game title or platform before 23:59 on 31st December 2026 and follow the prompts to receive your In‑Game Unlock.
We recommend copying or taking a screenshot of your code as soon as it is revealed, as you may need it to complete redemption on the relevant game platform.

Do I need to own the game to use the In-Game Unlocks?
You will need a valid account for the relevant game title or platform to redeem your code. If you do not already have the game or a relevant account, you may be able to purchase the game and/or create the account after redeeming your reward in the McDonald’s app
Where do I redeem my game code?
Redeem your code for the relevant game title by following the instructions for each game below:
Halo: Campaign Evolved
1. Go to the official Halo Waypoint code redemption page: https://www.halowaypoint.com/redeem
2. Sign in to the Microsoft account you use to play Halo: Campaign Evolved account you want the content added to.
3. On the Code Redemption page, copy and paste your unique Halo: Campaign Evolved code into the “Enter Code” field.
4. Select “Redeem”.
5. Once the code has been successfully redeemed, your in-game unlocks will be added to your account.
Fallout 76
1. Visit https://accounts.bethesda.net/redeem-code
2. Sign in to your Bethesda.net account, or create one for free.
3. Select your username in the top-right corner of the screen.
4. Choose “Redeem Code”, then paste or enter your unique code.
5. Select “Redeem”.
6. Once successful, the reward will be added to your Bethesda.net account.
7. Please note: To use this reward, you must have a Bethesda.net account and access to Fallout 76 installed via an Xbox console, PlayStation, Game Pass, Microsoft Store, or laptop/desktop PC. Game access is sold separately.
Forza Horizon 6
1. To redeem online, visit https://www.xbox.com/en-GB/redeem
2. Sign in to your Microsoft account, or create one for free.
3. Select the option to redeem a code.
4. Paste or enter your unique code, then select “Redeem”.
5. To redeem on your Xbox console, open the Microsoft Store on your Xbox console.
6. Select the option to redeem a code.
7. Paste or enter your unique code, then select “Redeem”.

Candy Crush Saga*
1. Tap the Candy Crush link in the McDonald’s app.
2. Enter the access code you received from the McDonald’s app and provide your email address to redeem your Candy Crush reward.
3. If you already have the Candy Crush app installed, the link will open Candy Crush directly so you can continue redeeming your reward. If you do not have the Candy Crush app installed, you will be taken to the relevant app store to download it. Once installed, click the redemption link again to open the app and receive your reward.

Overwatch®
1. Visit https://eu.shop.battle.net/
2. Sign in to your Battle.net® account, or create one for free.
3. Open the account drop-down menu and select “Account Settings”.
4. Paste or enter your unique code in the “Redeem a code” section.
5. Select “Redeem Code”.
6. Once successful, the reward will be added to your Battle.net® account.
World of Warcraft®
1. You can redeem your code through the Battle.net® website, Battle.net Desktop App, or Battle.net Mobile App.
2. To redeem on the Battle.net website, sign in to your Account Overview, enter your code in the “Redeem a Code” box, and select “Redeem Code”.
3. To redeem on the Battle.net Desktop App, sign in, select your profile icon in the top-right corner, and choose “Redeem Code”.
4. To redeem on the Battle.net Mobile App, sign in, tap your BattleTag to open your profile, then choose “Redeem Code” from the drop-down menu.
5. Once your code has been successfully redeemed, the reward will be added to your Battle.net® account.

Can I redeem the code directly in the McDonald’s app?
No, you must redeem your code through the relevant game title or platform.
How do I get my code after using my MyMcDonald’s Rewards points?
Once you use your points in the McDonald’s app, a unique code will be displayed on your screen. You will also receive an email with your code.
Can I swap my code for a different In Game Unlocks?
No, you can’t swap the claimed code for a different game reward.
My game code is not working. What should I do?
If your code is not working, please check that you are entering it on the correct platform, that the code has been copied exactly, that it has not already been used, and that it has not expired. Are the In-Game Unlocks available outside the UK?
No, all codes can only be claimed in the UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands.
What should I do if I have not received the email with my code details?
Please check your junk mail folder. If your email is still not in your inbox or junk mail folder after 24 hours, please contact customer service and include the email address linked to your McDonald’s (UK) app account.
