CARDS PROMOTION AT McDONALD’S UK 2026 – TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“Rules”)
1.ENTRANTS
1.1 Each entrant must be aged 18 or over and a resident of the UK, Isle of Man or Channel Islands to participate in the CARDS Promotion at McDonald’s UK 2026 (the “Promotion”).
1.2 The following are not eligible to participate in the Promotion at any time:
(a) any person who is at any time between 17th March 2026 and 11th May 2026 (inclusive) an employee (or an immediate family member of any such employee) of McDonald’s Restaurants Limited (referred to in these Rules as “the Promoter” or “McDonald’s”) or any of its franchisees, subsidiaries, restaurant operators, agents or advisors;
(b) any person who is at any time between 17th March 2026 and 11th May 2026 (inclusive) an employee (or an immediate family member of any such employee) of any company responsible for redemption of prizes or for supplying prizes for the Promotion or any of their respective subsidiaries, agents and advisors;
(c) any person not being an individual person;
(d) any syndicate or collection of persons acting in concert;
(e) any person entering via an agent, or using the services of or which is an entity carrying on the business of entering (or advising on entering) prize promotions; and
(f) any person using any application or process to submit an entry on that person’s behalf automatically or by proxy.
2. DURATION OF THE PROMOTION
2.1 The Promotion is scheduled to take place between 11:00:00 on 17th March 2026 and 23:59:59 on 27th April 2026 (inclusive) at McDonald’s restaurants located in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Channel Islands. All prize claims must be claimed in accordance with these Rules by 23:59:59 on 11th May 2026.
2.2 This Promotion ends at 23:59:59 on 27th April 2026, even if the date printed on other materials states otherwise. The closing date in these Rules prevails over all other instructions, rules and terms printed on any materials relating to this Promotion.
3. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
3.1 Customers can participate in the Promotion and obtain a Cards pack (subject to availability) with the purchase of the following CARDS Meals:
(a) Big Mac®;
(b) Double Big Mac®;
(c) Double Big Mac® with Bacon;
(d) McPlant®;
(e) 9 Spicy Chicken McNuggets®; and
(f) 9 Chicken McNuggets®,
in each case when ordered with Fries, Side Salad or Fruit or Veg Bag (as available) together with a carbonated soft drink, a hot drink or drink served in a bottle or carton.
Please note:
• The menu items listed above can also be purchased as standard (non-CARDS) meals. To receive a Cards pack, you must ensure that you select a CARDS Meal when ordering. If the CARDS Meal variation is not chosen, a Cards pack will not be provided, even if the main menu item is the same as one of the CARDS Meals.
• Not all CARDS Meals are served in every restaurant and items and Cards packs are always subject to availability, while stocks last.
3.2 Each Cards pack contains 4 cards:
(a) one Character Card; and
(b) three additional Cards, which will be common or rare Collect to Win Cards (or may include a super rare Instant Win Card).
3.3 Full participation in the Promotion, including initiation and digital storage of selected prize claims and Cards, requires registration for the Promotion via the McDonald’s (UK) app in order to create an account with a digital location personal to each registrant (“My Prizes” page).
3.4 To create a ‘My Prizes’ page a customer must download an up-to-date version of the McDonald’s (UK) app on to a compatible device and register for a McDonald’s (UK) app account – the email address used to register this account must be the same email address that the registrant then uses to participate and claim prizes in the Promotion. Once you have created a McDonald’s (UK) app-account you will be able to participate in the CARDS Promotion by accessing the promotional tile on the McDonald’s (UK) app. If you create more than one ‘My Prizes’ page by using a different email address, you will not be able to combine them.
3.5 The registrant will be required to accept the terms and conditions of use of the McDonald’s (UK) app and be aware that the registrant’s data will be held and managed in accordance with McDonald’s Privacy Policy. It is the registrant’s responsibility to obtain permission in advance from the person who owns or pays for the device and internet-service.
3.6 Entrants can collect a Card in their ‘My Cards’ page within the ‘CARDS’ section of the McDonald’s (UK) app by using the ‘Collect Card’ button found on the homepage or navigation bar and manually entering the 12-digit alphanumeric code on the back of the Card before 23:59:59 on 11th May 2026.
3.7 A maximum of 16 Card codes can be entered per app account per day.
3.8 Entrants can track the Cards they have collected via the ‘My Cards’ page within the ‘CARDS’ section of the McDonald’s (UK) app.
3.9 To win a Collect to Win prize, an entrant must complete a full Set of four Cards corresponding to a Prize, as specified in the Collect to Win Prize Pool table below (section 4). A Card will only be counted towards an entrant’s collection once it has been entered into that entrant’s ‘My Prizes’ page.
3.10 Character Cards include an additional code for Free Food as specified in the Free Food table below (section 4). Free Food can be redeemed as set out in section 5 below.
3.11 10 super rare Instant Win Cards are available as specified in section 4 below. The super rare Instant Win Cards are known as the “Ronald Cards” – each entitles an eligible participant (subject to successful verification and submission of the Ronald Card) to an Instant Win prize of £10,000 cash. The prize must be claimed via the McDonald’s UK app (and not in a restaurant) as set out in section 5 below.
3.12 McDonald’s Fair Ordering Policy – This may be implemented during the Promotion to assist McDonald’s to prevent inconsistent or premature depletion of stocks of Cards across one or more types of CARDS Meals. Steps may be taken to apply a restaurant-wide maximum limit on numbers of CARDS Meals per order and/or a specific restriction against any order which does not appear to restaurant-servers or managers (in their discretion) to be primarily for the purposes of consumption by the persons ordering and others in their parties. Please view the Promotion news page via the App or via the website at cards.mcdonalds.co.uk/news during the Promotion to check for any announcements about implementation of the Fair Ordering Policy.

4.4 Collect to Win:
(a) Free Medium Selected Meal – Each “Free Medium Selected Meal” must be claimed and is awarded as a voucher in the ‘Offers’ or ‘Rewards & Offers’ (as applicable) section of the winner’s App. Once awarded it may be redeemed, on or before 11th May 2026, by applying it from the ‘Offers’ or ‘Rewards & Offers’ (as applicable) section of the winner’s App to a single order at a participating restaurant for the following items (failing which the prize shall forfeit without any right to an alternative offer or compensation):
(i) one main, being either a Big Mac®, Quarter PounderTM with Cheese, 6 Chicken McNuggets®, McChicken® Sandwich, Filet-O-Fish® (single), 3 Piece Chicken Selects®, 5 Piece Chicken Selects®, Crispy Sweet Chilli Chicken Wrap; Grilled Sweet Chilli Chicken Wrap; Crispy BBQ & Bacon Wrap; Grilled BBQ & Bacon Wrap; Crispy Tikka Chicken Wrap; Grilled Tikka Chicken Wrap; McPlant®, McCrispy®, McSpicy® (NOTE: excluding the Wrap of the Day when ordering via the App);
(ii) one side, being either Medium Fries, Side Salad or Fruit Bag or Veg Bag (as available); and

Please note: It is not possible to redeem the prize when ordering the Wrap of the Day via the App. To order a Wrap of the Day meal and use the prize at the same time, please order in-restaurant.
Valid on pickup and delivery orders made via the App. Delivery fee (from £0.99), service fee (10% of basket value capped at £2.99) and small order fee (£1.50 if basket under £10) (each set by chosen restaurant and subject to change during the prize redemption window) apply to delivery orders and are not included as part of the prize – see App for details. Drink upgrade fees apply. Please check menu or ask in-restaurant for details. Voucher may be redeemed at a participating restaurant Self-Order Kiosk, Front Counter, or Drive-Thru by selecting the option to ‘Add to your code’ and presenting the code before placing the order. Voucher cannot be redeemed on orders made via a third-party delivery service, app or website. Charges may be incurred if product customisation options are available and selected. Menu items are subject to availability and serving times at participating restaurants. (b) McDonald’s CARDS T-Shirt – each “McDonald’s CARDS T-Shirt” prize entitles the winner to select from three designs: “Fry Girl”, “McPizza” and “McDonaldland”, subject to availability. T-shirts are available in four sizes (S/M/L/XL), subject to availability, and are made from 100% cotton. See section 5.4 for details of how to claim a Merch Prize.
(c) £50 Cash – each “£50 Cash” prize is for £50 which will be paid to the winner by bank transfer or by personal cheque if appropriate (in McDonald’s discretion), without any right to interest and only in sterling, subject to verification. See section 5.3 for details of how to claim a Cash Prize.
(d) £100 Cash – each “£100 Cash” prize is for £100 which will be paid to the winner by bank transfer or by personal cheque if appropriate (in McDonald’s discretion), without any right to interest and only in sterling, subject to verification. See section 5.3 for details of how to claim a Cash Prize.
(e) Free Medium Meal a Week for a Year – There is a limit of two Free Medium Meal a Week for a Year prizes per person.
(i) Each prize is awarded exclusively in a digital format via the App and comprises a once-weekly offer, for 52 consecutive weeks, of 1 free main, side and drink (each in a medium or regular-size and excluding a Sharebox), when ordered together as a single transaction via the App at a participating restaurant (“Meal Offer”).
(ii) Each Meal Offer is available for redemption in the corresponding week (being 00:00:01 on a Monday until 23:59:59 on the immediately following Sunday) save that the first Meal Offer period will start at midday on the first Monday after the date of the winner’s prize-claim.
(iii) Each Meal Offer is awarded to the ‘Offers' or ‘Rewards & Offers’ (as applicable) section of the winner’s App at the start of the corresponding week and can be applied to an order made via the App with a participating restaurant. A Meal Offer is not automatically added to an order.
(iv) Each weekly Meal Offer can only be redeemed once. If a Meal Offer is not used during its respective 7-day validity period, it shall automatically lapse and become void without any right to an alternative offer or compensation.
(v) Meal size cannot be upgraded (whether from medium to large or in any other way), irrespective of the card holder’s willingness to pay the price-difference. A Free Medium Meal a Week for a Year prize does not apply to any customisations to items for which payment will be required. Menu items are subject to availability and serving times at participating restaurants.
(vi) Delivery fee (from £0.99), service fee (10% of basket value capped at £2.99) and small order fee (£1.50 if basket under £10) (each set by chosen restaurant and subject to change during the prize redemption window) apply to delivery orders and are not included as part of the prize – see App for details. If the ‘pickup’ option is chosen when ordering on the App, card holder is required to present the McDonald’s (UK) App account on the card holder’s phone at the restaurant to collect the order.
(vii) A Free Medium Meal a Week for a Year prize cannot be used on orders made via a third-party delivery service, app or website or in conjunction with any other voucher, offer or promotion.
(viii) If McDonald’s reasonably suspects at any time that a winner, or anyone acting on the winner’s behalf, is acting fraudulently or dishonestly or in breach of the Free Medium Meal a Week for a Year prize terms, McDonald’s has the right to automatically freeze or remove the Free Medium Meal a Week for a Year prize from the applicable app-account, without notice and without liability.
(ix) See section 5.5 for details of how to redeem your Food Prize.
(f) £1,000 Cash – each “£1,000 Cash” prize is for £1,000 which will be paid to the winner by bank transfer or by personal cheque if appropriate (in McDonald’s discretion), without any right to interest and only in sterling, subject to verification. See section 5.3 for details of how to claim a Cash Prize.
4.5 Free Food:
Each “Free Food” item is awarded as a voucher for the type of food prize specified on the Card, as set out in the Free Food table above. Each voucher can only be redeemed once, on or before 11th May 2026. See section 5.6 for details of how to redeem Free Food.
4.6 Instant Win (Ronald Card):
Each “£10k Cash” prize is for £10,000 which will be paid to the winner by bank transfer or by personal cheque if appropriate (in McDonald’s discretion), without any right to interest and only in sterling, subject to verification and submission by the winner of the Ronald card to the Promoter (as directed by the Promoter). See section 5.3 for details of how to claim a Cash Prize.
NOTE: As part of the claim process, the winner must send their Ronald Card to the Promoter as directed by the Promoter and further detailed in section 5.3. The original Ronald Card will not be returned, but the winner, once verified, will receive a commemorative card in its place (as well as the prize).
4.7 Conditions applicable to all Prizes and Free Food:
(a) Prizes and Free Food may not be exchanged, in whole or in part, for any cash or other alternative (unless stated) and are not transferable, divisible or permitted to be sold, resold or gifted.
(b) McDonald’s shall not be under any obligation to enquire whether the person submitting any Card(s) or code(s) or making any claim(s):
(i) is the person entitled to make the submission(s) or claim(s), irrespective as to whether or not that person first obtained the relevant Card(s) or code(s);
(ii) as applicable, is otherwise eligible to claim the prize or Free Food; or
(iii) as applicable, has supplied accurate and true details to ensure that a prize or Free Food is only claimed by and fulfilled for the benefit of the entrant,
and no such enquiry or omission to make enquiry shall affect McDonald’s rights in relation to anyone in breach of the Rules, including the right to disqualify anyone who sells, trades, gives away or discloses (or attempts to do any of these things) a Card or Card code.
(c) Call costs of the claims/redemption/other assistance phone-lines for the Promotion depend on the type of number called (see www.gov.uk/call-charges for guidance), duration of call and the access charges payable to the caller’s phone company. Phone-lines are live, not automated, so call-duration will vary and there is no minimum or maximum duration.
(d) Responsibility and costs of obtaining and using internet-enabled equipment and broadband or other internet services (whether for a landline or via a mobile network) needed in connection with the Promotion (including without limit for the purposes of participation, prize and Free Food claims and utilisation of prizes and Free Food requiring such equipment and/or services), is solely that of participants in all cases.
(e) All advertisements depicting the prizes or Free Food and corresponding descriptions are illustrative rather than definitive.
(f) Any advertisement of the cash value of the prize pool and/or Free Food represents the Promoter’s best estimate of the normal retail-price for all prizes which are available to win and Free Food available to claim; it does not thereby imply that any prize or Free Food will be awarded in the absence of a corresponding valid claim.
(g) All unawarded or unclaimed prizes and/or Free Food will lapse if not the subject of valid claims and the award of which has been completed within the time limits as prescribed by these Rules and in any event by 11th May 2026 at the latest (unless otherwise specifically stated).
5. HOW TO CLAIM PRIZES AND FREE FOOD
5.1 Before claiming any prize or redeeming any Free Food in this Promotion, please pay particular attention to the appropriate section(s) below and note that:
(a) Each claim or redemption must be submitted in accordance with these Rules, including in accordance with all instructions and deadlines specified in the Rules (with the deadlines applying to the time of receipt by the Promoter) and any failure to do so will cause the prize and/or Free Food to be forfeited and the claim/redemption and corresponding Card and/or entry to become invalid and void, all without any right to compensation.
(b) It is the entrant’s responsibility to contact the Promoter in the event of non-receipt of any communication stated in these Rules – all deadlines and time limits shall continue to apply regardless of such non-receipt.
5.2. If an entrant is disconnected for any reason prior to receiving the message that the claim form for any prize was successfully received then the entrant should find the prize-notification in their ‘My Prizes’ page and resubmit it by the deadline in case the previous attempt to submit the claim form was not registered by the Promotion servers.
(a) Calls relating to prize claims may be recorded for the purposes of promotional security, in which event callers will be notified of this at the outset of the call.
(b) The Promoter may require to see an entrant’s Card or Card code for any purpose and at any time (even after a prize-award), following which that entrant must post (at McDonald’s expense) any Card used in the entrant’s prize claim or as requested by the Promoter (and, in that event, it is recommended that a Card is sent in an envelope by Special Delivery from a post office after ordering and paying for this service). Failure to present any Card when required will result in the corresponding prize claim and Card becoming void, whereupon the prize award will be withheld or cancelled or, if already dispatched, must be returned at that entrant’s expense.
5.3 PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANY CARD TO A RESTAURANT TO TRY AND REDEEM A PRIZE, UNLESS IT IS A CHARACTER CARD FEATURING A FREE FOOD ITEM STATING THAT IT MAY BE REDEEMED VIA THE APP OR IN RESTAURANT – RESTAURANT CREW HAVE NO AUTHORITY TO REDEEM CARDS FOR ANY OTHER PRIZES.
Prize Claim Process:
5.4 Cash Prizes:
(a) On completion of a relevant Cards set, a winner will receive immediate notification in the McDonald’s (UK) app of the type of prize awarded and corresponding online claim form requiring completion and submission, as instructed. The claim form must be submitted by no later than 23:59:59 on 11th May 2026. Unsubmitted claim forms can also be accessed by going to the ‘My Prizes’ page. Each claimant will need to provide the requested information, including date of birth, email address, full name, address and bank details. Winner bank details cannot be changed after the claim form has been submitted.
(b) £50 and £100 Cash Prizes – Payment will be made within 30 days of receipt by the Promoter of the complete and accurate claim form, subject to verification.
(c) £1,000 Cash Prize – For the £1,000 Cash Prize, after submission of a complete and accurate claim form, the claimant will receive an email from McDonald’s UK via Docusign® that will include a link to the required documents that must be completed and signed by the claimant by no later than 23:59:59 on 26th May 2026 in order to help the Promoter verify the prize claim. These documents comprise:
(i) a winner’s declaration to be signed by the claimant; and
(ii) one clear photo of the front and one clear photo of the reverse of the claimant’s GOLDEN ARCHES card (card #24).
The claimant’s claim will then be verified. Subject to successful verification, payment will be made within 30 days of:
(iii) receipt by the Promoter of the: (a) complete and accurate claim form; (b) signed winner’s declaration; and (c) requisite photos of the GOLDEN ARCHES card; and
(iv) verification by the Promoter of the claimant’s claim.
(d) Instant Win £10,000 Prize (the Ronald Card) – For the Instant Win £10,000 Prize (the Ronald Card), after submission of a complete and accurate claim form, the winner will receive an email from the Promoter within two (2) days of submission of the claim form explaining what additional steps are required to help the Promoter verify the prize claim. The Promoter may also, at its discretion, contact the claimant by telephone on the number provided in the claim form (for example, to explain next steps for verification). The additional verification steps comprise:
(i) the signing by the claimant, by no later than 23:59:59 on 26th May 2026, of a winner’s declaration (which will be sent to the claimant from McDonald’s UK via Docusign®); and
(ii) the sending by the claimant, by no later than 23:59:59 on 26th May 2026, of the claimant’s original, physical Ronald Card to the Promoter via a pre-paid envelope (which will be posted to the address specified in the prize claim form).
The claimant’s claim will then be verified. Subject to successful verification, payment will be made within 30 days of:
(iii) receipt by the Promoter of the: (a) complete and accurate claim form; (b) signed winner’s declaration; and (c) original, physical Ronald Card; and
(iv) verification by the Promoter of the claimant’s claim.
The original Ronald Card will not be returned, but the winner, once verified, will receive a commemorative card in its place (as well as the prize).
(e) All Cash Prizes – For all Cash Prize prizes, it is the winner’s responsibility to make the necessary arrangements to facilitate payment into a suitable licensed bank account in the UK. The Promoter’s offer to pay by bank transfer shall not prevent the Promoter from opting to make the payment by bankers’ draft or personal cheque (posted to the address specified in the prize claim form) if the Promoter determines that this is necessary or preferable. The winner agrees that payment of the prize by bank transfer shall be at the winner’s risk and that if the transfer is not received in the winner’s nominated account (as specified in the prize claim form) due to bank error or any other reason that is not directly due to the Promoter then the Promoter shall not be liable. McDonald’s does not accept responsibility for any loss if your bank details are incorrect or are for an account which is not controlled by you alone.
5.5 Merch Prizes:
On completion of the relevant Cards set, the winner will receive immediate notification in the McDonald’s (UK) app of the type of prize awarded and corresponding online claim form requiring completion and submission, as instructed. The claim form must be submitted by no later than 11th May 2026. Unsubmitted online claim forms can also be accessed by going to the My Prizes page. Each entrant will need to provide the requested information, which will include the restaurant name where the Card was obtained, the entrant’s full name, address, email address and date of birth. Subject to successful verification, the Promoter will award the prize by despatching the prize to the entrant’s address in the UK, Isle of Man or Channel Islands (as specified in the claim form) within 30 days of the claim form being completed. If you select a T-Shirt and size that is low in stock, delivery may take up to 12 weeks, but you will be notified before you make your choice.
5.6 Food Prizes:
(a) On completion of a relevant Cards set, the winner will receive immediate notification in the McDonald’s (UK) app of the type of prize awarded.
(b) Free Medium Selected Meal – Once awarded, the Free Medium Selected Meal will be available in the ‘Offers’ or ‘Rewards & Offers’ (as applicable) section of the McDonald’s (UK) app until 23:59:59 on 11th May 2026 for use as follows:
(i) for Pick-Up orders (by a method offered on the App at time of order); or
(ii) for McDelivery® orders on the McDonald’s (UK) app, if available (Please note: delivery fee (from £0.99), service fee (10% of basket value capped at £2.99) and small order fee (£1.50 if basket under £10) (each set by chosen restaurant and subject to change during the prize redemption window) apply to delivery orders and are not included as part of any Food Prize – see App for details); or
(iii) for orders at a restaurant Payment Kiosk, Service Counter or Drive-Thru.
(c) Free Medium Meal a Week for a Year – For the Free Medium Meal a Week prize, the claimant will be instructed to complete and submit an online claim form. The claim form must be submitted by no later than 23:59:59 on 11th May 2026. Unsubmitted claim forms can also be accessed by going to the ‘My Prizes’ page. Each claimant will need to provide the requested information, including date of birth, email address, full name and address. The Free Medium Meal a Week for a Year will be awarded within 30 days of the claimant’s submission of a complete and accurate claim form, subject to verification. Once awarded, the Free Medium Selected Meal will be available in the ‘Offers’ or ‘Rewards & Offers’ (as applicable) section of the McDonald’s (UK) app to be used as set out in section 4.4(e). You must remain logged in with the account you were logged in to when claiming your prize to ensure you successfully receive your prize.
5.7 Free Food:
Each Character Card includes an additional code for Free Food as specified in the Free Food table above (section 4). To redeem the Free Food, you must either:
(a) head to the McDonald’s (UK) app and tap “Redeem food” on the promotional tile to scan or manually enter your 16‑digit alphanumeric Free Food code. Once the code has been successfully entered or scanned, the Free Food will be available in the ‘Offers’ or ‘Rewards & Offers’ (as applicable) section of the McDonald’s (UK) app until 23:59:59 on 11th May 2026:
(i) for Pick-Up orders (by a method offered on the App at time of order); or
(ii) for McDelivery® orders on the McDonald’s (UK) app, if available (Please note: delivery fee (from £0.99), service fee (10% of basket value capped at £2.99) and small order fee (£1.50 if basket under £10) (each set by chosen restaurant and subject to change during the prize redemption window) apply to delivery orders and are not included as part of any Food Prize – see App for details); or
(iii) for orders at a restaurant Payment Kiosk, Service Counter or Drive-Thru; or
(b) scan or manually enter your 16‑digit alphanumeric Free Food code at a Kiosk, Front Counter or Drive‑Thru, until 23:59:59 on 11th May 2026.
6. RESPONSIBILITY
6.1 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law (but not otherwise) the Promoter and its agents assume no responsibility and are not liable for:
(a) the accuracy or otherwise of the prize or Free Food descriptions or illustrations;
(b) the non-availability, loss, interception or interference with, late or non-receipt, corruption or damage of or to any entry, prize claim, Card, Card code, award, prize or notification or other communication;
(c) (other than those warranties or conditions implied by statute and which cannot be excluded by the Promoter) any representation, warranty, condition or guarantee in respect of a prize or Free Food;
(d) any taxes, fees, charges or other costs which winners may be required to pay at any time in connection with a prize or Free Food or award (save to the extent that the Promoter has expressly and specifically accepted responsibility in these Rules for the same);
(e) any actual or perceived loss or reduction of opportunity or any actual or perceived damage arising at any time in connection in either case with the termination, cancellation, suspension, postponement or alteration of or to the Promotion (or to any part, feature or other element of the Promotion or the manner in which it is to be conducted) and which termination, cancellation, suspension, postponement or alteration is due to supervening circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control; or
(f) any actual or perceived loss of opportunity or damage arising in connection with any omission or in reviewing and acting upon information in the Rules or announcement posted on the news page of the website at cards.mcdonalds.co.uk/news in the lead up to, during the course of or after the Promotion.
7. THE PROMOTER’S RIGHTS
7.1 The Promoter may, acting reasonably: (a) extend any time limit, exercise a right of discretion or waive any of the Rules where a person might otherwise have been disqualified or otherwise disadvantaged (without obliging the Promoter to extend any time limit, exercise a right of discretion or waive any Rule on any further occasion for that entrant or at all for any other person), (b) terminate, suspend, cancel, postpone or vary the Promotion (or any part, feature or element of the Promotion including, without limit, any entry-method, game, prize, prize-pool or Free Food item,) at any time due to supervening circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control including (without limit) those which the Promoter determines have or are likely to compromise the security or credibility of the Promotion (or the affected part, feature or element of it), and (c) substitute a product deemed to be a reasonable alternative in the place of any of the prizes or Free Food items (or any part of them).
7.2 Although the Promoter shall endeavour to post relevant information on the news page of the website at cards.mcdonalds.co.uk/news (and therefore entrants and prospective entrants are advised to check the news page regularly), please note that the Promoter shall not be obliged to give notice of any such termination, suspension, cancellation, postponement or variation (unless prescribed by law or applicable regulatory codes of practice).
7.3 The Promoter’s reasonable decision in the exercise or interpretation of any of its rights or discretions in connection with these Rules shall be final and binding.
8. PRIVACY

8.2 The surname and county of the winners of the prizes which the Promoter considers (in its discretion) to be major in the context of the prize-pool as a whole can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to CARDS at McDonald’s 2026 Promotion, The Marketing Store Worldwide, 16 Hatfields, London, SE1 8DJ between 17th March 2026 and 11th May 2026. Where you object to the publication of your surname and county for this purpose, you can contact us, via the options set out in the ‘How to Contact McDonald’s UK' section of our Privacy Statement, to request that these details are not published for the Promotion. Notwithstanding any such objection, the Promoter must still make the surname and county of residence of the winners of major prizes available to regulatory bodies (such as the Advertising Standards Authority) upon request (and where otherwise required by law).
9. GENERAL
9.1 The acceptance of a Cards pack (which shall be deemed to have taken place in the restaurant) amounts to acceptance of the Rules and to their respective interpretation under English law and by the English courts.
9.2 You understand and accept that the Promoter retains ownership of all Cards, and ownership or control of the trade marks and other intellectual property in and over the Cards, and all Promotion-advertising at all times. You acknowledge and agree that you have the right to use the Cards solely for the purposes of the proper participation in the Promotion in accordance with the Rules and the following shall not be considered proper participation in the Promotion:
(a) any sale, offer to sell, trade, giving away or other dealing with any Card, Card code, or prize;
(b) any use for any purpose whatsoever of any Promotion advertising or any feature taken from it; or
(c) anything which is a breach by you of the Rules.
9.3 At the end of the Promotion, all Cards shall be null and void.
9.4 All age limits shall be deemed to be actual age as at the time of acceptance of the Rules, unless expressly stated otherwise in these Rules.
9.5 The Promoter may carry out such background checks and require such information (in addition to the information required to be given on entries or prize claims) as they consider necessary or desirable for the purposes of verifying any entry or claim for a prize or award or an entrant’s/claimant’s compliance generally with the Rules and any prize or award may be withheld unless and until the Promoter is satisfied with the verification.
9.6 Reference to any Card or code printed on a Card being or becoming invalid or void shall mean that the Card and all codes printed on it (as applicable), together with all prize and/or Free Food claims made and rights to make any prize and/or Free Food claim arising in connection with such Card or any code printed on it, shall be or become invalid and void.
9.7 Any communication which an entrant is required to send by post under these Rules must be sent via the Royal Mail alone and, if a "stamped" envelope is required, franking is not acceptable. The Promoter is entitled to treat any communication, however sent, as not received if not sent in the manner directed by the Rules.
9.8 No claim under or participation in this Promotion or any Card or Card code, is valid in combination with any other offer or promotion, save to the extent expressly stated herein.
9.9 Any Card, Card code, prize and/or Free Food claim and/or communication (including any marketing material or communication) made or received by the Promoter or an agent, will be invalid and void for all purposes if it is deemed by the Promoter or by any other third party involved with prize-redemption or offer award to be (a) damaged; (b) counterfeit; (c) copied; (d) misprinted; (e) incomplete; (f) illegible; (g) reproduced/transmitted incorrectly; (h) the result of a technical malfunction; or (i) handled, used, disclosed, offered for sale or trade by an ineligible person.
9.10 Should the Promoter determine (in the Promoter’s reasonable discretion) based on the evidence in its possession at any given time that any person (a) is ineligible; (b) has disclosed a Card code to another person (other than the Promoter or its agents concerned with the operation of the Promotion as contemplated by these Rules); (c) has failed to comply with any of these Rules; or (d) is misusing or tampering or attempting to misuse or tamper with the proper conduct of the Promotion, then in any of those events the Promoter may adjudge (in its reasonable discretion) that:
(a) every Card, Card code, prize and/or Free Food claim and/or communication made by that person to the Promoter or any of its agents, will be invalid and void for all purposes, and
(b) such person shall become (with retrospective effect) ineligible to take part in this Promotion with the effect that every entry, claim and request by that person then in process or still to be made shall be void, invalid and have no force or effect so that the Promoter is entitled to disregard them all without incurring any liability therefor.
9.11 Reference in these Rules or any promotional advertising, material or communication to any person as a “winner” or which otherwise expresses or might imply that a prize has been won, shall not thereby imply a waiver of any verification or claims processes for the award of prizes and any related rights of the Promoter arising in accordance with these Rules to delay, withhold or invalidate any prize-awards. Any waiver of any verification or claims processes stipulated in these Rules for the award of prizes shall only be effective and binding upon the Promoter if communicated by the Promoter in writing and then only to the extent specifically stated in that communication and (whether stated or not) solely applying for the named recipient and no other person or persons.
9.12 To the extent that the Promoter publicises the Promotion on any social media platform such as X (Twitter), Snapchat, Instagram or Facebook:
(a) it shall not thereby be implied that the social media platform provider is jointly or solely sponsoring, endorsing or administering the Promotion;
(b) each entrant hereby releases the social media platform-provider absolutely and unconditionally from responsibility for the Promotion;
(c) each entrant understands that the entrant is alone responsible for ensuring that the content of any posting on social media and for sharing any post in other media, is done in a responsible manner and each entrant undertakes to take account before doing so of the suitability of the media and the age and other characteristics of its users for the posting; and
(d) information supplied by any person via a social platform (including taking part in any poll or vote for marketing activity in support of the Promotion) is deemed to have been provided solely to the Promoter and not to the social media platform and on the prior understanding and acceptance that such information may be subject to use by the social platform-provider in accordance with its published terms of use.
9.13 The Promoter may (in its reasonable discretion):
(a) decline to enter into any correspondence save as otherwise stated in these Rules;
(b) alter these Rules during the Promotion to the extent it considers (acting reasonably) necessary or desirable to maintain and preserve the integrity and reputation of the Promotion or the fair, effective or secure operation of the Promotion (and altered Rules will be notified and made available for review at cards.mcdonalds.co.uk/news); and
(c) perform any stated function in these Rules via an agent and the entrant shall be required to accept such performance as if it was directly by the Promoter.
9.14 Any person with a disability preventing compliance with any stated requirement in these Rules should contact the Promoter by means of the McDonald’s Customer Services Hotline or, if on mcdonalds.co.uk, by reference to the “contact us” feature.
9.15 Nothing in these Rules shall affect the statutory rights of entrants.
9.16 All instructions, rules and conditions on any advertising or promotional materials (including notifications, acceptance forms and declaration forms) relating to this Promotion form part of the Rules although, in the event of conflict, the document entitled “CARDS PROMOTION AT McDONALD’S UK 2026 – TERMS AND CONDITIONS” as posted at mcdrules.co.uk shall prevail over all such other instructions, rules and conditions.
9.17 Expressions which have been defined in these Rules shall have the same meanings when used in such other instructions, rules and conditions relating to this Promotion wherever the context admits.
9.18 These Rules are available for customer-review on the website-page at mcdrules.co.uk and the website version of the Rules shall prevail over any printed or other copy.
9.19 PLEASE CHECK cards.mcdonalds.co.uk/news IN CASE OF ANY ANNOUNCEMENTS BEING MADE DURING THE PROMOTION ABOUT MATTERS WHICH MAY ARISE RELATING TO THE RULES AND THEIR INTERPRETATION.

(b) All artwork, elements and characters and other trade marks and trade names featured in these Rules and on all Cards, advertising and other promotional materials relating to this Promotion are the properties of their respective owners and all rights in or over the same are reserved by the respective owners.
