McDonald’s Fun Football Centre Sessions 2024 General Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (these “Terms”) apply between you and McDonald’s Restaurants Limited (“McDonald’s”) in relation to McDonald’s Fun Football Centre Sessions taking place in 2024 (the “Programme”).
Children that meet the eligibility requirements set out below may participate in a Fun Football session (each a “Session”).
Sessions are provided by McDonald’s in collaboration with qualified third-party football coaching providers (the “Providers”)
Each person who applies for their child to participate in the Programme (an “Applicant”) unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Terms and the decisions of McDonald’s (or decisions of the Provider which are taken on McDonald’s behalf), which shall be final and binding with respect to all aspects of the Programme.
2. Eligibility
(a) The Programme is open to all children that are aged between 5 and 11 years old at the time of their participation in a Session (“Eligible Children”). For the avoidance of doubt, a child will not be eligible to participate in a Session if they are 12 years old or over on the date of the relevant Session.
(b) To register an Eligible Child in the Programme, each Applicant must be at the time of entry:
• 18 years or over;
• a resident of the United Kingdom;
• able to access the internet; and
• compliant with any other eligibility requirements in these Terms.
(c) McDonald’s or the Provider have the right to request identification and information in order to verify the information provided by the Applicant as part of the application to the Programme, including the age of any child and the relationship that an Applicant has with a child.
3. Registration
(a) To apply for the Programme, Applicants must truthfully and accurately complete the online entry form available on the McDonald’s Fun Football Website (the “Site”) and submit it in accordance with the instructions provided on the Site.
(b) Registrations for the Sessions for the period 1st April 2024 to 31st December 2024 will open from the 11th March until the Friday before the last session has been hosted.
(c) Applicants must register their child(ren) no later than 08:59am on the Friday prior to the weekend of the Fun Football coaching session that they wish their child(ren) to attend via the McDonald’s Football Website – www.mcdonalds.co.uk/funfootball, failing which any application not so received may be deemed void.
(d) Children who are registered after the Friday may not be accepted onto that week’s Session unless there is space in that Session.
(e) Registration will be carried out on a first-come first-serve basis and each Session will have a capacity as set by the Providers working to a 1:10 child to coach ratio.
(f) Should the Fun Football Centre be at full capacity, McDonald’s registration platform ClubSpark, will trigger a waiting list. Should a space become available we will inform you at least 24 hours in advance or may suggest an alternative option.
(g) All parents / guardians register their child at their own risk and McDonald’s or the Providers cannot be held responsible for any injury sustained.
(h) McDonald’s reserves the right to exclude any application on any ground, including but not limited: false information; breach of these Terms; fraudulence or other misconduct; if in its reasonable opinion, it considers that there is a significant risk that the Applicant may bring the McDonald’s brand into disrepute.
(i) McDonald’s provides no guarantee that all applications will be successful. To the extent that McDonald’s accepts an application, McDonald’s still reserves the right to reject such application at a later date should it so desire.
4. Format of a Session
(a) The Programme is operated from various locations across England (as advertised by McDonald’s from time to time) (each such location at which the Programme is operated from shall be referred to as a “Location”).
(b) Each Location may host one or more Sessions. McDonald’s provides no guarantee as to the maximum or minimum number of Sessions that a Location may or may not host.
(c) Each Session will last for around 1 hour each.
(d) Each Session will be delivered by a Provider’s qualified coaches.
(e) The Providers will be the first point of contact for an Applicant who has any queries surrounding the Sessions. Contact details for the relevant Provider will be communicated via email to Applicants on the Friday before a Session takes place.
(g) The maximum ratio of coaches to participants in a Session should be 1:10, with the minimum being 1:9.
(h) All Sessions are free to attend for all Eligible Children.
5. Providers
McDonald’s has partnered with various Providers in order to provide the Sessions. Please see the table below for the relevant details of each Provider in each region of England. Providers run Sessions and use personal information under McDonald’s instruction.

6. Safeguarding
(a) All coaches at the Fun Football Centres will be minimum FA Level 1 Qualified and will have an up to date Enhanced with Barred List DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
(b) There will be a DSO (Designated Safeguarding Officer) onsite at all Sessions.
(c) All coaches at the Sessions are first aid trained and will be equipped to respond to medical emergencies that may occur.
(d) All coaches at the Fun Football Centres are minimum FA level 1 qualified to coach football to young and inexperienced children.

7. Personal Information
(a) McDonald's will process personal information provided by Applicants (whether such data relates to a child or themselves) for the purposes of administering and running Sessions effectively and safely, including as described in the online entry form, and in accordance with the McDonald’s Privacy Statement available at Privacy Policy | McDonald's UK (mcdonalds.com).
(b) McDonald’s will share personal information with Providers, who will process it on McDonald’s instruction for the above purposes.
(c) All personal information will be stored safely and securely and in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
(d) Applicants and Eligible Children have rights in relation to personal information which are set out the McDonald’s Privacy Statement. To exercise those rights or to otherwise make an enquiry about personal information, please contact McDonald’s via our website at Customer Service – McDonald's (mcdonalds.co.uk).
8. Complaints Policy
(a) Parents / guardians have the right to make a direct complain to McDonald’s about any element of the Programme.
(b) Parents / guardians who wish to make a complaint should do so via email to mcd.football@leoburnett.co.uk , clearly stating their name, which Session their child(ren) attended, along with comprehensive details of their complaint
(c) If you are worried about a child, it’s vital you report your concerns; there are five ways to do this:
- To your Designated Safeguarding Lead/Officer – who will follow your safeguarding referral process;
- To your County FA Designated Safeguarding Officer. A list of all County FA contact details is available at County FA Safeguarding Contacts (thefa.com).
- By emailing The FA Safeguarding Team at safeguarding@TheFA.com;
- If urgent and you cannot contact your Designated Safeguarding Lead/Officer or County FA Designated Safeguarding Officer, you should call the NSPCC 24-hour helpline on 0808 800 5000;
- If it is an emergency because a child or children are at immediate risk, then call the Police or Children’s Social Care in your area.
(d) Parents / guardians should familiarise themselves with all necessary safeguarding provisions by visiting the Safeguarding Info for Parents page (https://www.mcdonalds.com/gb/en-gb/football/fun-football-centres/fun-football-center-faq-2022.html) and Safeguarding risk assessments that each provider will put in place.
9. General
McDonald's may:
(a) extend any time limit or waive any of the Terms where a person might otherwise have been disqualified (without obliging McDonald's to relax the Terms on any further occasion for that Applicant or at all for any other person);
(b) terminate, extend or suspend the Programme or a Session at any time where this is necessary or desirable due to supervening circumstances beyond McDonald's control (including but not limited to unsuitable weather conditions and unavailability of staff and qualified coaches) as it considers necessary at its sole and exclusive discretion; or
(c) modify the dates of any Sessions as it considers necessary at its sole and exclusive discretion.
