The data controller of your personal information is the McDonald’s entity in the jurisdiction where your personal information is collected.
For residents of the United Kingdom, McDonald’s Restaurants Limited (11-59 High Road, East Finchley, London, N2 8AW, UK) collects such data and is the data controller for the processing of your personal information.
For residents of the Republic of Ireland (“ROI”), McDonald’s Restaurants of Ireland Limited (First and Second Floor Office Suites, 14/15/16 Mary Street, Dublin, D01 DH59) collects such data and is the data controller for the processing of your personal information.
For the purposes of this Privacy Statement, “McDonald’s” refers to: (a) McDonald’s Restaurants Limited for residents of the United Kingdom; and (b) McDonald’s Restaurants of Ireland Limited for residents of the ROI.
This Reindeer Ready Privacy Statement describes the personal information practices of McDonald's with respect to information about its customers and others who visit www.reindeerready.co.uk (the "Website"), including the types of personal information McDonald’s collects, how McDonald’s may use this information, and with whom McDonald’s may share it.
Please note this Reindeer Ready Privacy Statement is supplemental to the following McDonald's privacy statements for the UK and the ROI, which more generally describe how McDonald's processes personal information (“General Privacy Statements”).

The Website shall be made available to users in the United Kingdom and the ROI. For any country specific information which McDonald’s needs to share with you, please refer to the applicable country-specific General Privacy Statement above.
1. Information McDonald’s Collect
When you visit the Website and participate in Reindeer Ready Live, you may provide certain information to McDonald’s (such as personal details, your image and other information you have chosen to include in your interaction with McDonald’s). McDonald’s may also use automated technology to collect information from your computer system or mobile device when you visit the Website (such as cookies, local shared objects, and web beacons).
McDonald’s may collect information about you from other companies and organisations, including public databases, social media platforms, or third party partners such as analytics or marketing providers. For example, linked sites, third-party websites, applications or social media where you share the content of the Website (such as sharing the resulting video on Facebook or Twitter).
The Website may collect information about the exact location of your mobile device or computer using geolocation and technology such as GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cell tower proximity. For most mobile devices and computer systems, you will be requested to give your permission for McDonald’s to process this information.

2. How McDonald’s Use the Information it Collects
In addition to the use of information set out in the applicable country-specific General Privacy Statement, McDonald’s may use your personal information in order to provide you with the Reindeer Ready Live services and perform its contract with you, including to:
· carry out your requests to create a video and/or image; and
· provide customer support, including to process any concerns about the Website.
McDonald’s may use the information it collects about you in other ways, which McDonald’s will tell you about at the time it collects it or for which it will seek your consent.
3. How McDonald’s Shares the Information it Collects
McDonald’s does not sell your personal information and only shares your information as described in this Reindeer Ready Privacy Statement and the General Privacy Statements.
In particular, McDonald’s may share your personal information with vendors who provide services to McDonald’s, such as creating the video, moderating the content, providing data processing and other information technology services, such as carrying out research and analysis. McDonald’s does not allow these vendors to use this information or to share it for any purpose other than to provide services on McDonald’s behalf.
4. Children's Privacy Notice
McDonald’s only allow adults to participate (being users 18 or older). However, given the nature of the Website and the ability for children to be captured in the image uploaded, McDonald’s acknowledges that personal information of children may be processed. McDonald’s will not collect personal information from a child (being under 18) without the consent of a parent or guardian. That consent will be obtained prior to any image being uploaded.
McDonald's will not condition a child's participation in any online activity on the child's disclosure of more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate in that activity.
As part of the services on the Website, McDonald’s may share personal information collected from an image of a child with vendors that perform services for McDonald's (as stated in paragraph 3 above). McDonald’s may also share a child's personal information with third parties to the extent reasonably necessary to protect the security or integrity of the Website, take precautions against liability, or respond to judicial process or requests from other governmental authorities, or when McDonald’s believes disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss, or in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity.
Parents may review personal information McDonald’s has collected about their child that has not been deleted, and can request that the personal information be deleted from McDonald’s records if it has not been already. Parents also may refuse to permit further collection or use of their child's personal information, when the parent has previously provided consent. 5. Your Choices
McDonald’s will not be using personal information obtained from your use of the Website to market to you. 6. Use of McDonald’s Online Services and Other Technology
McDonald’s may use cookies, web beacons and other similar technologies in its online services and in other areas related to its business, such as online advertising, to collect information and provide you with the services or products that you have requested. 7. Links to other websites and Social Media
The Website may offer links to websitesthat are not run by McDonald’s but by third parties. McDonald’s may also have providers of other apps, tools, widgets and plug-ins on the Website, which may also use automated methods to collect information about how you use these features. Any information you give to those organisations is dealt with under their privacy policies, terms and conditions, and other policies.
8. Information Security and Retention
McDonald’s is committed to taking appropriate measures designed to keep your personal information secure. McDonald’s keeps your information for the length of time needed to carry out the purposes outlined in this Reindeer Ready Privacy Statement and General Privacy Statements, and to adhere to its policies on keeping records (unless a longer period is needed by law). The www.reindeerready.co.uk website and Reindeer Ready Live video tool will be available from 18th December 2023 until 25th December 2023 (inclusive), and the videos will be hosted, to provide you with access via your given link to your video(s), until 28th January 2023. 9. International Data Transfers
McDonald’s is a global organisation with business processes, management structures and technical systems that cross borders. As such, McDonald’s may share information about you within the McDonald’s Family (as defined in the General Privacy Statements) and transfer it to countries in the world where McDonald’s does business in connection with the uses identified above. Any international data transfers will be in accordance with the General Privacy Statements and in compliance with applicable laws.
