SIDE MISSIONS 2025 UK PROMOTION – TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“Terms”)                   

1. Promotional Period

1.1 The Side Missions 2025 UK Promotion (the “Promotion”) is scheduled to take place between 07:30 on 14th July 2025 and 23:59 on 10th August 2025 (inclusive) at McDonald’s restaurants located in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Channel Islands. All prize claims must be completed by 10:00 on 26th August 2025.

2. Eligibility:

2.1 Each entrant must be aged 18 or over, a resident of the UK, Isle of Man or Channel Islands and have downloaded, registered and signed in via the McDonald's (UK) app. 

2.2 The following are not eligible to participate: (a) Employees and immediate family members of employees of any of McDonald’s Restaurants Limited (referred to in these Terms as “the Promoter” or “McDonald’s”), any company responsible for redemption of prizes or for supplying prizes for the Promotion and their respective franchisees, subsidiaries, agents and advisors, (b) other persons assisting with this Promotion, (c) any person not being an individual person, (d) any syndicate or collection of persons acting in concert, (e) any person entering via an agent, or using the services of or which is an entity carrying on the business of entering (or advising on entering) prize promotions, and (f) any person using any application or process to submit an entry on that person’s behalf automatically or by proxy. 

3. Entry restrictions:

3.1 A McDonald’s (UK) app account is required to play the game. The registrant will be required to accept the terms and conditions of use of the McDonald’s (UK) app (which are available at  https://www.mcdonalds.com/gb/en-gb/terms-and-conditions.html) and be aware that the registrant’s data will be held and managed in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Statement. It is the registrant’s responsibility to obtain permission in advance from the person who owns or pays for the device and internet-service.

3.2 There is a maximum limit of 1 entry per app account per “Day”, being any 24-hour period starting from midnight.

4. How to enter:

4.1 Each day of the Promotion involves the entrant engaging with an animation on the McDonald’s (UK) app to reveal a food offer or prize outcome. 

4.2 Food Offers are available every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during the Promotion. Each weekday of the Promotion involves the entrant interacting with a tile, playing a single animation on the McDonald’s (UK) app and revealing a single food offer pre-determined by McDonald’s.

4.3 The food offers available during the Promotion, together with the respective date(s) on which that offer is available, are listed below. Please see section 5 for Food Offer terms.

4.4 Prize Pool is available every Saturday and Sunday during the Promotion. To play for a chance to win, an entrant must interact with the applicable Side Missions animation on the McDonald’s (UK) app on a weekend day. Upon the recorded receipt by the Promotion servers of a valid entry (“App Entry”), the Promotion-servers will either award a winning or losing moment. Please see section 6 for Prize Pool details. 

4.5 Participation in the Promotion, including initiation and storage of selected prize claims, requires prior registration for the Promotion via the McDonald’s (UK) app in order to create an account with a digital location personal to each registrant (“Side Missions Wallet”).

4.6 To create a Side Missions Wallet an entrant must download an up-to-date version of the McDonald’s (UK) app on to a compatible device and register for a McDonald’s (UK) app account - the email address used to register this account must be the same email address that the registrant then uses to play and claim prizes in the Promotion. Once you have created a McDonald’s (UK) app-account you will be able to access your Side Missions Wallet from the app by using the same log-in details. If you create more than one Side Missions Wallet by using a different email address, you will not be able to combine them and may be disqualified from participating in the Promotion if the Promoter determines this to be appropriate (in its discretion).

4.7 Allocation of Winning Moments:

(a) Every valid App Entry will receive a notification in the McDonald's (UK) app of either a winning or losing outcome. The Side Missions Wallet will track each winning prize outcome allocated to that McDonald's (UK) app account.

(b) Where a prize-type is available to be won on more than 1 weekend day, the prize-pool for that prize-type has been split equally across each applicable weekend day. The prizes will be distributed via a winning moments mechanic. The winning moments for each weekend day, and the prize-types allocated to those winning moments, have been randomly allocated across the corresponding weekend day.

(c) A winning outcome will be awarded to the first valid entry recorded by the Promotion-servers as having been received at one of the pre-determined “winning moments” to which one of the prizes stated in section 6.1 is allocated. If no entries are received at a particular winning moment, the prize from that winning moment will be rolled over into the next winning moment and be available to be won then (including roll over into a subsequent weekend). There is no guarantee that all prizes will be won. If the award of any prize is declared invalid for any reason, it will lapse and shall not be re-awarded. 

(d) All winning-moments, and prize-type allocations to winning moments, have taken place in advance of the commencement of the Promotion and are carried out under the Promoter’s audited procedures.

(e) All time-based determinations in this Promotion shall be made by the Promoter after reference to the Promotion clock on the Promotion servers and in accordance with the audited procedures and shall prevail irrespective of any variation with other sources of time-keeping or error having (or claimed by an entrant to have) an adverse effect upon any entry. 

5. Food offer terms:

5.1 Each food offer will be in digital format and can only be accessed and used via the ‘Offers’ or ‘Rewards & Offers’ (as applicable) section of the entrant’s McDonald’s (UK) app account at participating restaurants. Food offers are not stored in the Side Missions Wallet.

5.2 Each offer is only valid between 00:00 - 04:59 and 11:00 - 23:59 on the day of award, except on the first day of the promotion, when the offer can only be claimed after 11:00, and for the food offer titled “15% off with £15 minimum spend on food and drink”, which is valid between 00:00 - 23:59 on the day of award.

5.3 Only menu items count towards minimum order value threshold. Any discount offer does not apply to delivery fees.

5.4 Food offers are not automatically added to your order. To redeem an offer, you must either (a) order via the ‘Offers’ or ‘Rewards & Offers’ (as applicable) section of the McDonald's (UK) app by clicking on the button describing the offer in that section, adding the offer to your order and placing your order on the McDonald’s (UK) app at a participating McDonald's restaurant, following which the order should be collected or delivered (as applicable) the same day from that participating restaurant; or (b) use the 4-digit offer code or QR code (where applicable) at the kiosk, front counter or Drive-thru of a participating restaurant, if the offer showing in your McDonald's (UK) app account provides that functionality.

5.5 Menu items are subject to availability and serving times. Offers are subject to restaurant opening hours. 

5.6 Each food offer is valid on pick-up and delivery orders only on the McDonald’s (UK) app. Offers cannot be redeemed on orders made via a third-party delivery service, app or website. Delivery and service fees apply to delivery orders. McDelivery® via the McDonald’s (UK) app is only available if both a McDonald’s restaurant is revealed by the app at time of order to be participating in the offer and within range.

5.7 Each offer is one-time use on a single order only and cannot be used in conjunction with any other voucher, offer or promotion. An offer cannot be applied retrospectively. 

5.8 Offers do not apply to any customisations to menu items or any other McDonald's items which may be ordered for which full payment will be required. Product specific offers cannot be used to contribute towards payment for a Meal or to pay for a Meal in full. 

5.9 No cash or other alternative is available. Your usual data charges apply.

5.10 Offers are only valid at participating McDonald's restaurants in the UK, Jersey and Isle of Man. The offers are not available at the following restaurants (please use McDonald’s Restaurant Locator for addresses):

5.11 McDonald's Restaurants Limited, acting reasonably, will decide whether a customer has already redeemed an offer and its decision is final.

6.2 Prize Details and Conditions

a) £10,000 Cash – each “£10,000 Cash” prize is for £10,000 which will be paid to the winner by bank transfer or by personal cheque if appropriate (in McDonald’s discretion), without any right to interest and only in sterling. See section 6.4 for details of how to claim a Cash prize.  

b) £10 Cash Prize - each “£10 Cash” prize is for £10 which will be paid to the winner by bank transfer or by personal cheque if appropriate (in McDonald’s discretion), without any right to interest and only in sterling. See section 6.4 for details of how to claim a Cash prize.

c) £5 Cash Prize - each “£5 Cash” prize is for £5 which will be paid to the winner by bank transfer or by personal cheque if appropriate (in McDonald’s discretion), without any right to interest and only in sterling. See section 6.4 for details of how to claim a Cash prize.

d) Free food prize - each Free food prize awarded as part of the Promotion must be claimed by 26th August 2025. Once awarded, it will be added to the ‘Offers’ or ‘Rewards & Offers’ (as applicable) section of the respective winner’s McDonald’s (UK) app-account automatically. Food prizes must be used by their individual expiry dates: Free Small Fries and Free Selected Core Sandwich expire at 04:59 on 26th August 2025, while the Free Mini McFlurry® and Free Selected Medium Soft Drink expire at 10:00 on 26th August 2025. See section 6.4(c) for details of how to claim a Free food prize.

e) £100 Virgin Experience Days Gift Card – each “£100 Virgin Experience Days Gift Card” prize is awarded as a digital gift voucher for £100 off a purchase (or series of purchases to that value in total). Voucher expires 12 months after issue to the winner (after which date any remaining credit shall lapse without right to compensation). Payment card is needed if the total transaction cost exceeds the credit value. Voucher cannot be used with any other offers or discount codes. f)£100 Argos Smart eGift Card – each “£100 Argos Smart eGift Card” prize is fulfilled with Prezzee®. Each prize is awarded via a unique link which will redirect the winner to the Prezzee® website to redeem the £100 pre-paid card. The pre-paid card has been pre-loaded with a total of £100 of credit. This card is in GBP only and cannot be converted to a different currency. The Card is not a credit card, or a charge card, nor is it a debit card linked to a current account. The Argos eGift Card is subject to the full terms and conditions available at https://www.prezzee.uk/policies/terms-of-sale/ and usage of the Card constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. Winners must activate their Argos Smart eGift Card via the Prezzee® URL by 31st August 2025. Once activated, the Smart eGift Card will initially be issued as a Prezzee® Smart eGift Card, which is valid for 2 years from the date of activation. However, the Smart eGift Card must be swapped for the designated Argos Smart eGift Card. Once swapped, the Argos Smart eGift Card will be valid for 36 months from the date of the swap. If the Smart eGift Card is not activated by 31st August 2025, the winner will forfeit their prize and will not be able to activate the Argos Smart eGift Card.

g) ‘Pair of Cinema Tickets’ – two adult admissions. Each “Cinema Tickets” prize is awarded via a single prize code. Each winner will be sent a unique prize code via email which can be redeemed via https://sparkwinners.co.uk/sidemissions2025. Upon redemption of the unique prize code, the winner will be emailed two cinema admission codes. Each code is available for use separately or in combination with the other code at a participating cinema’s box office or on a participating cinema’s website. The participating cinemas are: Cineworld, PictureHouse, Showcase, Reel, Savoy, Scott, Merlin, MovieHouse, The Light (with locations across the UK and Jersey only).

i. Codes may be redeemed for entry to a qualifying standard 2D screening on or before 28th September 2025 (where a “qualifying standard screening” excludes 3D, 4DX, D-Box, Super Screen, IMAX, Alternative Content, any premiere, event cinema, special event, event not open to the public, school booking, corporate or private hire).

ii. Codes can be used to make bookings at a chosen Cinema’s foyer Box Office or online, if applicable. If codes are used to make a booking at the cinema’s foyer there are no additional charges. Online booking fees will be added for online bookings.

iii. Codes (a) can only be used once, (b) cannot be used for any merchandise or item other than entry to the qualifying screening and (c) cannot be used for any special or private, viewing or booking. Any upgrade to premium seating or a non-standard screening will be subject to an additional fee and is at the cinema manager’s discretion. The terms and conditions of the selected participating cinema may be reviewed at the corresponding cinema-websites including (without limit) in connection with general admission and age. Normal film classification terms apply. The management for each participating cinema reserves the right to refuse admission and its decision is final.’

h) ‘Family Cinema Ticket’ – two adult and two child admissions. Each “Cinema Tickets” prize is awarded via a single prize code. Each winner will be sent a unique prize code via email which can be redeemed via https://sparkwinners.co.uk/sidemissions2025. Upon redemption of the unique prize code, the winner will be emailed four cinema admission codes. Each code is available for use separately or in combination with the other code at a participating cinema’s box office or on a participating cinema’s website. 6.3 Conditions applicable to all Prizes:

(a) Prizes may not be exchanged, in whole or in part, for any cash or other alternative (unless stated) and prizes or their codes are not transferable, divisible or permitted to be sold, resold or gifted.

(b) The Promoter shall not be under any obligation to enquire whether the person applying for the prize or submitting a code is entitled to make the claim, is eligible to claim the prize or has supplied accurate and true details to ensure that a prize is only claimed by and fulfilled for the benefit of the winner, and no such enquiry or omission to make enquiry shall affect the Promoter’s rights in relation to anyone in breach of the Terms, including the right to disqualify anyone who sells, gives away or discloses (or attempts to do any of these things) a prize or prize-code.

(c) Call costs of the claims/redemption/other assistance phone-lines for the Promotion depend on the type of number called (see www.gov.uk/call-charges for guidance), duration of call and the access charges payable to the caller’s phone company. Phone-lines are live, not automated, so call-duration will vary and there is no minimum or maximum duration.

(d) Responsibility and costs of obtaining and using internet-enabled equipment and broadband or other internet services (whether for a landline or via a mobile network) needed in connection with the Promotion (including without limit for the purposes of participation, prize-claims and utilisation of prizes requiring such equipment and/or services), is solely that of entrants in all cases.

(e) All advertisements depicting the prizes and prize descriptions are illustrative rather than definitive. Any advertisement of the cash value of the prize-pool represents the Promoter’s best estimate of the normal retail-price for all prizes which are available to win; it does not thereby imply that any prize will be awarded in the absence of a corresponding valid claim. Reproduction of any prize-imagery does not thereby imply any endorsement or association by the producer of that prize-type nor by the owner of any brand associated with that prize-type. The featuring of selected prizes in any advertisement does not imply all of those prizes are representative of, or all available to be won within, a prize pool; those prizes may be selected from more than one prize pool, unless otherwise stated.

(f) All unawarded or unclaimed prizes will lapse if not the subject of valid claims and the award of which has been completed within the time limits as prescribed by these Terms and in any event by 10:00 on 26th August 2025 at the latest (unless otherwise specifically stated).

6.4 How to claim and redeem prizes

(a) General: Before claiming any prize in this Promotion, please pay particular attention to the appropriate section(s) below and note that:

i. Each prize claim must be submitted in accordance with these Terms, including in accordance with all instructions and deadlines specified in the Terms (with the deadlines applying to the time of receipt by the Promoter) and any failure to do so will cause the prize to be forfeited and the prize-claim to become invalid and void, all without any right to compensation.

ii. It is the entrant’s responsibility to contact the Promoter in the event of non-receipt of any communication stated in these Terms – all deadlines and time limits shall continue to apply regardless of such non-receipt.

iii. If disconnected for any reason prior to receiving the message that the claim form was successfully received then you should find the prize-notification in your Side Missions Wallet and you should attempt to resubmit it by the deadline in case the previous attempt to submit the claim-form was not registered by the Promotion servers. Upon the attempt to initiate the further opportunity to submit a claim-form, you will receive an on-screen message from the Promotion servers stating that the award is confirmed or the claim is invalid with such decision being final and binding and resulting in the entry and prize-claim becoming void and the prize withheld. Any reason for non-award stated in the on-screen message that the claim is invalid shall not entitle the claimant to contest the basis of the stated decision, irrespective of whether that given reason is incorrect.

iv. Calls relating to prize claims may be recorded for the purposes of promotional security, in which event callers will be notified of this at the outset of the call.

(b) Cash Prize:

i. Each winner will receive immediate notification in the McDonald’s (UK) app of the type of prize awarded and corresponding online claim form requiring completion and submission, as instructed. The claim form must be submitted by no later than 10:00 on 26th August 2025. Unsubmitted claim forms can also be accessed by going to the Side Missions Wallet. Each claimant will need to provide the requested information, including date of birth, email address, full name, address and bank details. For the ‘£10,000 Cash Prize’, the claimant will receive an email from the Promoter confirming that verification of the claim is subject to successful submission of a Supplemental Declaration which will be received and processed via DocuSign®.  The claimant will need to confirm via DocuSign the same information that the claimant submitted for the claimant’s online-claim, including providing a more comprehensive version of the online declaration by 2nd September 2025 to help us verify your prize claim. On submission and successful verification of valid details, McDonald’s shall email the winner (using the email address the winner provided in the claim form) with details of the prize award and confirmation of relevant fulfilment action being taken to enable a valid prize winner to receive the prize within 30 days of verification.

ii. For all cash prizes, it is the winner’s responsibility to make the necessary arrangements to facilitate payment into a suitable licensed bank account in the UK. The Promoter’s offer to pay by bank transfer shall not prevent the Promoter from opting to make the payment by bankers’ draft or personal cheque (posted to the address specified in the prize claim form) if the Promoter determines that this is necessary or preferable. The winner agrees that payment of the prize by bank transfer shall be at the winner’s risk and that if the transfer is not received in the winner’s nominated account (as specified in the prize claim form) due to bank error or any other reason that is not directly due to the Promoter then the Promoter shall not be liable.

(c) Free Food Prize – Each winner will receive immediate notification in the McDonald’s (UK) app of the type of prize awarded, each free food prize can only be redeemed on or before 26th August 2025 by logging into the McDonald’s (UK) app, clicking on the option to redeem your food prize, following which the prize needs to be applied from the ‘Offers’ or ‘Rewards & Offers’ (as applicable) section of the McDonald’s (UK) app:

A. for Pick-Up (by a method offered on the app at time of order), or

B. for McDelivery® on the McDonald’s (UK) app (if available and if the delivery fee is paid), or

C. by selecting the option to ‘Add to your code’ and presenting the 4-digit Code before placing the order at a restaurant Payment Kiosk, Service Counter or Drive-Thru.

(d) Digital Voucher Prize – Each winner will receive immediate notification in the McDonald’s (UK) app of the type of prize awarded and corresponding online claim form requiring completion and submission, as instructed. The claim form must be submitted by no later than 10:00 on 26th August 2025. Unsubmitted online claim forms can also be accessed by going to the Side Missions Wallet. Each winner will need to provide the requested information, including full name, address, email address and date of birth. Subject to verification, the Promoter will award the applicable prize as follows:

i. £100 Virgin Experience Days Gift Card – Winners must visit https://www.virginexperiencedays.co.uk/mcd and select their desired experience. They must add their experience to basket and select their delivery method. At check out, they will then have to apply their unique discount code. The experience must be redeemed in full within 12 months.  

ii. £100 Argos Smart eGift Card - Winners will receive an email containing a unique link to the Prezzee® website, where they can create an account (or log in if they already have an existing account) to redeem their prize. Winners must activate their Smart eGift Card by 31st August 2025. Once activated, the card must be swapped for the designated Argos Smart eGift Card, which will then be valid for 36 months.

iii. Family Cinema Ticket - To obtain the cinema tickets for four, the winner must visit sparkwinners.co.uk/sidemissions2025 and enter the unique prize code received via email and choose their participating cinema on or before 1st September 2025. Each winner will then receive via email four cinema codes to be used on or before 28th September 2025. Each code can be used to obtain a cinema ticket at the chosen participating cinema’s box office or online at the participating cinema’s website. A code can be used separately or in combination with the other code at the chosen participating cinema box office or website.  Codes are not to be used for financial gain in resale or in conjunction with any other offer and are subject to any other applicable terms including, but not limited to, the terms and conditions found at https://sparkwinners.co.uk/sidemissions2025/terms-and-conditions

iv. Cinema Tickets for Two - To obtain the cinema tickets for two, the winner must visit sparkwinners.co.uk/sidemissions2025 and enter the unique prize code received via email and choose their participating cinema on or before 1st September 2025. Each winner will then receive via email two cinema codes to be used on or before 28th September 2025. Each code can be used to obtain a cinema ticket at the chosen participating cinema’s box office or online at the participating cinema’s website. A code can be used separately or in combination with the other code at the chosen participating cinema box office or website.  Codes are not to be used for financial gain in resale or in conjunction with any other offer and are subject to any other applicable terms including, but not limited to, the terms and conditions found at https://sparkwinners.co.uk/sidemissions2025/terms-and-conditions

v. £10 Prezzee® Smart eGift Card – Winners will receive an email containing a unique link to the Prezzee® website, where they can create an account (or log in if they already have one) to redeem their prize. Winners must activate their Smart eGift Card by 31st August 2025. Once activated, winners must redeem their prize in full within 2 years. 

7. Responsibility

7.1 The Promoter does not guarantee continuous uninterrupted access to the McDonald’s (UK) app.

7.2 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law (but not otherwise) the Promoter and its agents assume no responsibility and are not liable for:

(a) the accuracy or otherwise of the prize description or illustration,

(b) any claims, losses, damages or costs of any kind arising out of or in connection with participation in the Promotion or the corruption, loss or late receipt of a food offer or prize claim notification,

(c) (other than those warranties or conditions implied by statute and which cannot be excluded by the Promoter) any representation, warranty, condition or guarantee in respect of a prize,

(d) any taxes, fees, charges or other costs which winners may be required to pay at any time in connection with a prize, (save to the extent that the Promoter has expressly and specifically accepted responsibility in these Terms for the same),

(e) any actual or perceived loss or reduction of opportunity or any actual or perceived damage arising at any time in connection in either case with the termination, cancellation, suspension, postponement or alteration of or to the Promotion (or to any part, feature or other element of the Promotion or the manner in which it is to be conducted) and which termination, cancellation, suspension, postponement or alteration is due to supervening circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control, or any actual or perceived loss of opportunity or damage arising in connection with any omission or in reviewing and acting upon information made available in the lead up to, during the course of or after the Promotion.

8.  The Promoter’s Rights

8.1  The Promoter may (a) extend any time limit, exercise a right of discretion or waive any of the Terms where a person might otherwise have been disqualified or otherwise disadvantaged (without obliging the Promoter to extend any time limit, exercise a right of discretion or waive any of the Terms on any further occasion for that entrant or at all for any other person), (b) terminate, suspend, cancel, postpone or vary the Promotion (or any part, feature or element of the Promotion including, without limit, any entry-method, prize or prize-pool,) at any time due to supervening circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control including (without limit) those which the Promoter determines have or are likely to compromise the security or credibility of the Promotion (or the affected part, feature or element of it), and (c) substitute a product deemed to be an appropriate replacement and of equal or greater value in the place of any of the prizes (or any part of a prize).

8.2 The Promoter’s decision in the exercise or interpretation of any of its rights or discretions in connection with these Terms shall be final and binding and reference to the discretion of the Promoter shall mean its sole discretion.

9.2 An anonymised list of winners of the prizes which the Promoter considers (in its discretion) to be major in the context of the prize-pool as a whole can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to [Side Missions 2025 Promotion], The Marketing Store Worldwide, 16 Hatfields, London, SE1 8DJ between 26th August 2025 and 31st October 2025.  The Promoter shall also provide the surname and county of the winners of major prizes to competent authorities (including the Advertising Standards Authority) upon request.

10. General

10.1 All age limits shall be deemed to be actual age as at the time of acceptance of the Terms, unless expressly stated otherwise in these Terms.

10.2 The Promoter may carry out such background checks and require such information (in addition to the information required to be given on entries or prize claims) as they consider necessary or desirable for the purposes of verifying any entry or claim for a prize or award or an entrant’s/claimant’s compliance generally with the Terms and any prize or award may be withheld unless and until the Promoter is satisfied with the verification.

10.3 The Promoter is entitled to treat any communication, however sent, as not received if not sent in the manner directed by the Terms.

10.4 Should the Promoter determine (in the Promoter’s discretion) based on the evidence in its possession at any given time that any person (a) is ineligible, (b) has failed to comply with any of these Terms or (c) is misusing or tampering or attempting to misuse or tamper with the proper conduct of the Promotion, then in any of those events the Promoter may adjudge (in its discretion) that:

(a) every entry, prize, prize claim and/or communication made by that person to the Promoter or any of its agents, will be invalid and void for all purposes, and

(b) such person shall become (with retrospective effect) ineligible to take part in this Promotion with the effect that every entry, claim and request by that person then in process or still to be made shall be void, invalid and have no force or effect so that the Promoter is entitled to disregard them all without incurring any liability therefor.

10.5 Reference in these Terms or any promotional advertising, material or communication to any person as a “winner” or which otherwise expresses or might imply that a prize has been won, shall not thereby imply a waiver of any verification or claims processes for the award of prizes and any related rights of the Promoter arising in accordance with these Terms to delay, withhold or invalidate any prize-awards. Any waiver of any verification or claims processes stipulated in these Terms for the award of prizes shall only be effective and binding upon the Promoter if communicated by the Promoter in writing and then only to the extent specifically stated in that communication and (whether stated or not) solely applying for the named recipient and no other person or persons.

10.6 To the extent that the Promoter publicises the Promotion on any social media platform such as X (formerly known as Twitter), Snapchat, Instagram or Facebook (a) it shall not thereby be implied that the social media platform provider is jointly or solely sponsoring, endorsing or administering the Promotion, (b) each entrant hereby releases the social media platform-provider absolutely and unconditionally from responsibility for the Promotion, (c) each entrant understands that the entrant is alone responsible for ensuring that the content of any posting on social media and for sharing any post in other media, is done in a responsible manner and each entrant undertakes to take account before doing so of the suitability of the media and the age and other characteristics of its users for the posting, and (d) information supplied by any person via a social platform (including taking part in any poll or vote for marketing activity in support of the Promotion) is deemed to have been provided solely to the Promoter and not to the social media platform and on the prior understanding and acceptance that such information may be subject to use by the social platform-provider in accordance with its published terms of use.

10.7 The Promoter may (in its discretion) (a) decline to enter into any correspondence save as otherwise stated in these Terms, (b) alter these Terms during the Promotion to the extent it considers necessary or desirable to maintain and preserve the integrity and reputation of the Promotion or the fair, effective or secure operation of the Promotion.

10.8 Any person with a disability preventing compliance with any stated requirement in these Terms should contact the Promoter by means of the McDonald’s Customer Services Hotline or, if on mcdonalds.co.uk, by reference to the “contact us” feature.

10.9 Nothing in these Terms shall affect the statutory rights of entrants.

10.10 All instructions, terms and conditions on any advertising or promotional materials (including notifications, acceptance forms and declaration forms) relating to this Promotion form part of the Terms although, in the event of conflict, the document entitled “SIDE MISSIONS 2025 UK PROMOTION – TERMS AND CONDITIONS” as posted at www.mcdonalds.co.uk/terms shall prevail over all such other instructions, terms and conditions.

10.11 Expressions which have been defined in these Terms shall have the same meanings when used in such other instructions, terms and conditions relating to this Promotion wherever the context admits.

10.12 These Terms are available for review on the website-page at www.mcdonalds.co.uk/terms and the website version of the Terms shall prevail over any printed or other copy.

12. Governing Law:

12.1 These Terms, and any dispute arising out of these terms, shall be exclusively governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
