If you choose “While Using the App” or “Always” in your location services settings, McDonald’s will use your current location to provide offers, find nearby restaurants and enable Mobile Ordering. If Mobile Ordering is available in your location, having location services turned to “While Using the App” or “Always” will also let us know when to prompt you to check in at a participating Mobile Ordering restaurant to have your order ready for pickup.
Mobile offers can be added to your order. Please go to the offers section and tap “Add to Mobile Order” on the offer that you select to begin the process. If you choose to use an offer, you must start your order by selecting it, as the offer cannot be applied after you’ve added your products to the basket.
You can access your personal information (name, email, password), past orders, payment information and favourites (orders and restaurants).
Yes, you can favourite your orders, items from our menu and preferred restaurant locations.
Yes, you can reorder items from your recent order.
You will receive a notification after you place an order, and also when you are near your selected restaurant so you can let us know how you want to pick it up. Once your order is fulfilled, you’ll receive a Thank You notification with the order details.
Yes, you can access full nutrition information, including calorie information, for all our items in our Menu section. As you add or remove items, you can also see nutrition and calorie information for the meals and à la carte items you order. Ingredient information is also available.
When you arrive at your selected restaurant, you can check in and choose how you want to pick up your order. There are four options, which may vary by restaurant and time of day – Front Counter, Table Service, Drive-Thru or Curbside Service. When you check in with your preferred pickup method, your order is completed at the restaurant you choose and your payment card is charged. Remember, never use your mobile app while driving! Only check in when you are safely stopped at a participating restaurant and make sure your location services settings are turned on.
McDonald’s® wants to ensure your food is hot and fresh when you arrive, so instead of making your order when you initially place your order, we start making it only when you get close to our restaurants. If your location services are turned on, you will receive a notification that you can check in and choose how you’d like to pick up your order from the options that may be available at that restaurant – Front Counter, Table Service, Curbside Service or Drive-Thru. Once you choose where you’d like your food to be ready for you, your order will be sent to the kitchen and your payment will be processed.
You’ll know your restaurant offers Table Service if there is a red sticker on the table indicating the table number. Simply sit down at an available table, open your app, and when you are prompted to check into the restaurant, enter your table number under the Table Service option. Your food will be brought to your table shortly.
If you select Curbside when you check-in, park your vehicle in one of the designated Curbside spots and enter the stall number into the app. Your food will be brought to your stall shortly after.
Yes, but only if you choose to check in at the Drive-Thru.
Yes, your order will not be completed and prepared until you check in at the restaurant. Your order code will be valid for 24 hours from the time you placed it. If you are unable to check in within 24 hours, then a new order code will be automatically generated for you when you arrive at the restaurant to complete your order. Depending on what time you pick up your order, certain items may not be available. You will be notified via the app if any menu items are unavailable when you check in using the app.
Updated order totals at check-in can result from changes in products, pricing, taxes or other fees required by law, which may happen when you arrive at a participating restaurant other than the one you originally selected.
Mobile Ordering is another feature of the My McD’s® app. You can browse the McDonald’s® menu, save favourites, and view your order history to place an order. After placing an order, you’ll be able to check in and pick up your order at the Front Counter or have your order delivered to your table through Table Service or to your car through the Drive-Thru or Curbside Service.
Mobile Ordering will bring a whole new level of speed and convenience to your McDonald’s® experience. You’ll be able to skip the line, reorder your past or favourite orders and, for the first time, have your food brought to your car via Curbside Service or to your table through Table Service. All payments are made through the app to speed up your experience even more.
Mobile Ordering is currently available within Canada in limited markets. We are currently piloting in Edmonton, Alberta, and in Hamilton, Ontario, with more areas to come in future weeks.
Mobile Ordering will appear as a feature in the app when you are in an area that offers Mobile Ordering. Make sure you turn on location services so that we can show you all of the available features in the app.
Most likely, you were previously in a location where ordering is available but are now no longer in one of those geographic areas.
Menu items will be displayed based on the selection you make for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
To get Extra Value Meal pricing, you must select “Make a Meal” when ordering your sandwich or entrée. Most of our sandwiches and entrées can be made into an Extra Value Meal. Simply select the sandwich or entrée that you wish to order from the menu. You will see a pop-up with two options – for the “Item” only (just the sandwich), or to “Make a Meal”. Tap “Make a Meal”. On this page, use the drop-down arrow to change the size of your meal or to choose a Side Salad meal. Use the “Select Drink” section to choose your beverage. Note: Not all beverages may be available on Mobile Ordering for Extra Value Meals.
No, you can choose just one item, or you can order meals for your family and friends.
Yes, you can add or remove items from your order basket while your order is pending by simply clicking on the item and making necessary changes.
There is currently no “cancel” function; however, no purchase is completed and your payment card is not charged until you check in at the restaurant.
You can send only one mobile order at a time, and you can only send orders to one participating restaurant at a time.
You can register your Visa, Mastercard and American Express cards.
Unfortunately, you cannot register your Apple Pay or Google Wallet for automatic payment of your mobile orders at this time.
You cannot register McDonald’s® gift cards for automatic payment of your mobile orders at this time.
You can add or remove payment card information from the Checkout and My Account screens. To add a payment card, simply enter details as prompted on the form and click “Save”. To remove a payment card, simply swipe left on your phone screen. At this time, we do not allow editing of payment card information.
Your credit card will not be charged until you check in at the restaurant to pick up your food.
Please contact your payment provider if you are not sure of a charge. To dispute a McDonald’s® transaction for a duplicate charge on your credit card, you need to follow up with your credit card provider and they will research and take the appropriate action.
Please contact your payment provider if you see an error, duplicate or incorrect charge.
You will receive an email receipt of your order upon successful completion of your transaction and pickup of the order. If you checked in with a crew person at the Drive-Thru, you may also receive a printed receipt in addition to the email receipt.
If you make any changes or modifications to your order with a crew person at the Drive-Thru and not through the app, your email receipt will differ from your modified order.
