Our commitment to hen welfare doesn’t stop there. As part of the McDonald’s range enrichment programme for hens we have planted over half a million trees to provide natural shelter for our birds.

You might think our free-range eggs are the most essential ingredient in our McMuffin. Well actually, our most essential ingredient is our British and Irish farmers, all 23,000 of them, and the ones that supply our tasty free-range eggs are all RSPCA assured.

Once they reach our restaurants our award-winning free-range eggs are freshly cracked into special round rings and steamed, so they fit perfectly inside our tasty McMuffins® every single time.
