Training

We have honed our training program throughout the years to be best in class. We focus on preparing McDonald’s field operations and franchising staff to provide outstanding customer service at every turn. As a franchisee, they work directly with you from the moment you enter the training program. Their primary job is to help prepare you to optimize the guest experience, so you can optimize sales and profits.

We have honed our training program throughout the years to be best in class. We focus on preparing McDonald’s field operations and franchising staff to provide outstanding customer service at every turn. As a franchisee, they work directly with you from the moment you enter the training program. Their primary job is to help prepare you to optimize the guest experience, so you can optimize sales and profits.

Included in our training program is 9 months to 2 years of in-restaurant training and classroom time. There is an option of 20 hours (part-time) or 40 hours (full-time) of training per week for a total of 1,600 hours.

McDonald's maintains regional offices throughout Canada along with our home office in Toronto, Ontario, so we can consistently respond to your needs and support a collaborative business relationship.

We support ideas and initiatives you bring forward as a franchisee. Big Mac, Filet-O-Fish, and Egg McMuffin sandwiches have all been developed by franchisees.

Even our famous McFlurry, created right here in Canada and now one of the most notable and iconic menu items. We always encourage opportunities to grow your own business and contribute to the success of McDonald’s.
