Ben was promoted to Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer, UK and Ireland in January 2025. He started his McDonald’s career with the UK back in 2012 as Marketing Manager for Media and Digital, a role which saw him lead media strategy and budget management and head up engagement with McMarCo. Ben progressed through the UK and Ireland Marketing team to reach the role of Marketing Director before being promoted to take on Global and Segment roles in 2020.
During the last two years, Ben has held the role of Senior Director Marketing and Strategy, EMEA IDL, playing a key leadership role across brand, marketing, and business strategy for the 36 IDL markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Passionate about the power of creativity to move the business forward, Ben has helped to increase Marketing’s contribution to sales growth by boosting marketing capability and supporting talent development alongside rolling out major business driving initiatives such as Mobile Order and Pay, Loyalty and McCrispy.
Prior to his IDL segment experience, Ben played a critical role as Global Senior Director, Media where he oversaw Global Media strategy and vision, providing global guidance and best practices on paid media strategies and led Joint Business Partnerships (JBP’s) with key media partners to create competitive advantage.
Ben’s favourite McDonald’s menu items are a Quarter Pounder Meal, with a Coke Zero and a McFlurry.
