At McDonald’s Restaurants of Ireland Limited, we are committed to making our digital experiences accessible. Our efforts are aligned with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and considers EN 301 549, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), along with other relevant standards and best practices. We continuously work to make the ordering experiences inherently usable.

Customers can place orders through the various available offerings. Our digital offerings are tested using a variety of assistive technologies. These evaluations include input from native users of such technologies. Our goal is to ensure compatibility with commonly used assistive tools and to support a wide range of interaction methods. To provide as many people as possible with a barrier-free experience, we have incorporated many supporting features, including:

• Dynamic text resizing which will enable you to adjust the scale of the text and icons around 200%;
• Visual enhancements mainly related to colour contrast;
• Support for screen readers and external keyboards.

Kiosks to be deployed from June 29, 2025, onwards are designed to provide an accessible and user-friendly experience incorporating a range of features, including:

• Magnification Mode – "Zoom and magnify all onscreen content for greater legibility”
  
• Reach Mode –"Lowers the upper part of the screen, bringing controls closer for easier access."

Crew Assistance – In addition, crew support is available for Kiosk ordering.
